Question about Koss CDR200 2-Disc CD Recorder
Turn player on, or press open a or b, sez "reading", then "A no disc", then ----, ----, and that's it, what's up with that? I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure there are no discs in unit.
You should use consumer cd's that are rather expensive. You probably tried to record a recordable cd-rom (a cheap computer disc). It's not possible to burn a pro-disc (computer disc) by using your Pioneer, and that's why you got that message on the screen. Refer to the user manual of your cd recorder and learn what sort of blank cd you should use.

1.Your Disc might be damaged
2.Your cd player laser beam reader lens might be weak or dead
3. Check whether it happens to all Disks
4. if it does not play all the disks then you have to change the laser diode lens assemble.
5. contact service centre to fix news lens

I had an issue similar to this - I found if I didn't try to record from the internal player it worked ok. Does it say 'recover' when you try to record anytime? If you open the unit, you might see some capacitors on the power supply on the left hand side have leakedand the power is cutting in and out. 'Recover' usually comes up when a recording is interupted if you switch the unit off during recording.

have you purchased the correct blank discs? sounds like you've inserted discs that can only be used on a PC. these players can only record onto blanks bearing the "compact disc digital audio" mark. these are for use on home audio recorders. hope this helps?
