SOURCE: need a quick release plate for Dynex tripod 60

The Velbon QB-4W Quick-Release Camera Platform is a nearly identical replacement for the plates that come with the Dynex DX-TRP60 tripod. You should have had a spare in the bottom of the tripod bag when you bought the unit. The Velbon QB-4W is available at many on-line sources for about $5.95.

Good luck,

SOURCE: I have a Coastar VTR-95RA tripod. Three flip locks cracked

Coastar has been out of business for at least 15 years, I do not know of anyone that has those parts since Coastar used shut down and went away. Unfortunately that tripod is no longer usable, unless you can find another with something else broken aned scavage the parts you need. Be careful to mathc the model numbers exactly as there were several different models starting with VTR-9... and they may not all be interchangeable.

Missing a quick release plate for my Cullmann tripod 2921

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen. Because your tripod is not supported by the manufacturer; parts lists and pars are not available, you should measure the opening and see what other brand quick releases will work paying attention to the shape and locking mechanism. Otherwise just get another tripod.

How to put a camera on it

If it's a quick release tripod you need to remove the quick release plate (Usually a release lever to the side of the top of the tripod) and then fasten the plate securely to the camera and then the plate to the tripod. Older non-quick-release tripods have a knurled screw located below the flat area where the camera is attached. If the screw is missing, get a relacement from your local hardware store - 1/4" -20. (Find a way to keep the new one from getting lost.)
