Question about Sharp 32F-830 32" TV
Many of the intermitent defec on tv are due to cold solders so check in the power supply area and in the flyback area somes tvs have many cold solders in the large ic that produce intermitent defect...good luck

Lynda, could be why someone was selling it? It could have a bad connection inside the set somewhere that needs to be addressed asap as it will get worse, or a power regulator is bad. This will oneday make the set not turn on anymore without a repair job. Also make sure the outlet your pluging it into isent loose. Sorry i couldnt assist you more with this. Good Luck

Hello, there are three options for such failure, the first and simplest is to try to get the remote control out of the room while the TV is off when it is in stand bye. A second possibility is the micro switches in front of the TV, you can verify that they cause failure by disconnecting the cable that connects them to the main board. If the problem stops, you will need to replace all the front switches. And now the last option, however the more expensive one, that there is a malfunction of the micro-processor circuit, from which comes the command to turn on the TV. let me know if that was helpful!
