I have had above integrated dishwasher which is intermittently tripping the mains fuse.
Power is getting to dishwasher and the washing cycles work until a certain point (not the same time) where a loud bang can be heard and the main fuse is tripped. Reset the main fuse and power still gets to the dishwasher and it works again.
It has just started to trip the fuse when its not running any cycle (just when power is getting to it).
I've checked the fuse on the spur and it looks ok. I have yet to move the dishwasher out as its integrated but wondered if anyone had any ideas before I call out a plumber!!
My dishwasher a diplomat 12 program (hja8640) was doing exactly the same where every now and again when turned on at the plug it would trip. After engineers coming out several times and failing to fix it, they condemed it. New one was supplied, however did exactly the same thing. The electrician came back, checked the RCD power breaker and this was fine. It was then discovered that some dishwashers and washing machines send out a lot of earth leakage, combine this with other appliances on in the house can be enough to trip.
Soloution. The electrician removed the kitchen circut from the RCD breaker and intalled another breaker RCD just for the kitcehn loop, this therefore means that the kitchen has a seperate trip from the rest of the house, and touch wood, has solved the problem. This mind you has taken about three months to work out so i hope it saves you some time.

not necessary-- yet-- to buy a new unit
tripping the rcd is an indication of earth leakage which could amount to water in the wall plug across pins, moisture across the power board, water in the motor, faulty heater element
what you need is an accredited electrician to run tests on the system to find the reason for the earth leakage that is tripping the rcd
the rcd works from microvolts and operates in nano seconds to prevent electrocution of the operator
testing before buying may save heaps of cash
assuming the power circuit breaker is ok and you are getting power to the dishwasher itself, there are other factors that could lead to an outcome of dishwasher not appearing to be powering up. The most likely cause is power supply inside dishwasher is faulty, the controller is faulty or simply the dishwasher display panel is faulty. More likely the dishwasher has suffered a "thermal" trip. The thermal fuse located in the control panel on the door has blown. You may need to replace it. It is item 6 on this diagram
HI. Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
If everything checks out ok with the above suggestion, the main control sector(timer or control board), will be the culprit.
The control sector must be replaced, in this case.
We have just experienced an FA audible error on our Diplomat ADP 8332 dishwasher...after pulling the dishwasher out and removing the low front panel we found the drip tray full of water. We tipped the dishwasher onto it's front and removed the drip tray and found a float pressure switch...it appears that once the drip tray is full the float switch activates and causes the FA fault (prevents the dishwasher from continuing) drain off your drip tray replace all covers and you should be good to go!!
Hi, I think you will need to check the heater or the wash pump, as these are the first things to energised. IOf yo could give me some more information then i could tell you where to after these things have been tested ok!
Get back to me......
