Question about Yamaha CDC-755 5-Disc CD Changer
I have been utilizing my Yamaha CDC-665 CD changer for 7 years now without problems. Recently it began opening as soon as I turn it on. When I load discs it does not play them, instead it waits for a few seconds and opens the tray.
You have a problem with the try control circuit. It could be the switch is leaking across itself. Could be a problem with the tray motor control IC, or the Microprocessor is not reseting the open tray line correctly, or theres a cam assembly inside the unit that tells the microprocessor where everything is by means of small micro/leaf type switches thats out of alighnment or broken. If its seven years old, you got more then it was designed for and I would'nt invest a dime or the time into the repair of this unit. Time to take a trip to the electronics store. Good luck
