Question about Samsung S860 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Dropped camera Hello, My daughter dropped her camera half on the grass with the lens part hitting the pavement. Now the lens is almost all the way out, but is stuck at an angle. When we turn it on it wants to retract, but doesn't, it just beeps. Any suggestions? Is it dead or can it be repaired for less than a new camera? Thank you.

I've had this camera for 3 months, and I've never dropped it at all. But now it takes blurred pictures and the lense is at a very slight angle. The lense won't go in when I turn off the camera, and it just beeps. What do I do??

My daughter dropped my Canon on the tile floor and now the zoom lens will not open. It says "lens error, restart camera." What do I do?

When the camera was dropped, the lens was most likely twisted. So you either have to try to force it back (be gently) or send it in to Canon repairs.

The lens got out of track. Try to have them back by forcing gently the lens in ou out with your fingers. If they are bent, force them straight. Hope it helps.

Dropped my camera canon sd450

The E18 error is fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for about 50% of lens errors, but they're worth a try:
