my board (a8v-mx) is just over a year old (in purchase). a few weeks ago, I noticed the system would just freeze up every now and then. I dont use this as my primary computer but there are things I only do this computer (copyright stuff). Recently, I went to start it up to begin transferring licensed/lease numbers to new pc and all the lights comes on, fans (all five) working, power light on board is working, power indicator light on. Drive light stays on about 10-15 seconds then go out. Nothing at all is ever displayed to screen nor at any time any series of beeps occurs. If you have no solution to this problem can you suggest a simular board replacement that I can power up and transfer all that I want from the old drive? Many thanks in advance.

One year ago---your check engine light came on The PO405 code was for an EGR Valve issue No mention--- if you had that fixed
A Few Days Ago---you get Trac Light on,that is part of the ABS Braking System Now that system has to be diagnosed & repaired, not just continue to use the car, actually make the repair, before you do some damage or can't stop the car & worse things happen
Changing Trans Fluid---is NOT a FIX for anything, but should be done on all vehicles every 3 years.
If the Engine Management System isn't working correctly, then your trans won't work as it should either
You need to be proactive & immediately have any abnormal operation or check light problems, at least diagnosed in a few days of noticing them
You need to stop using any car that isn't 100% & have it repaired as soon as possible.
Not wait weeks or years. Being 9 years old, the trans may also have it's own issues
I have this same refrigerator, also purchased in 2006. Same exact problem. Fridge freezes, starting actually in the water line, you will notice water on door does not work, then top two shelves start to freeze. Lasts for a few days, then prob does not happen again for 6 months almost to the day. I've had this problem for almost 3 years!!! My service tech said to buy another, glitch in this system he can't figure out. Replaced damper x2, control board, and thermostat x2. Not sure what else to do. I hate the thought of more food lost to spoilage!
If you card reader uses a USB port.
Please make sure your operating system is fully updated. I found no reason for your card reader not to function through Asus web site for your A8V-VM Socket 939 board. You can open device manager & check out your USB controller & check if there is a problem. If there is a problem there it will show up with a yellow ! point. You may need to re-install any software that came with the card reader. Your card reader is under warranty & suggest you have it replaced.
A few weeks ago my set started flashing to a black screen. Now a couple of weeks later, i have no picture, but the set turns on and i have sound. The standby light is flashing. I purchased the set in 2000 so it is seven years old. This is the first problem. Could it be all three of the bulbs?
Could it be all three of the bulbs?
as you say that sound is ok that means your power supply &high voltage section is ok.
please check chroma ic luminance section or system control section stand by ckt
