Question about Bosch Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

We have a Bosch fan oven. We had to turn off the electricity and when we switched it back on found that the oven does not work now. The clock is flashing, but I don't think we can set this as I have had problems with the clock for over a year, but that didn't stop the oven from working before.

Thanks - while I was waiting for your reply, my husband managed to get the clock to stop flashing (though can't set the time properly as I explained before). This resulted in him being able to get the oven to work. This may be for the reason you gave in your response about putting the oven back to manual, but whatever the reason at least it is working!!

It is possible that the after turning off the electricity the oven has reset in AUTO (timed cooking ) mode, try setting it back to MANUAL mode and try the oven again

Oven nor stove top works

Hi Myron,
I understand that you are having trouble with your oven, model# FGES3045KF, not working/heating, even though the display screen is showing everything to be working fine. I suggest to give your appliance a hard reset. You will do this by switching the circuit breaker off for 3-5 minutes. Once the 3-5 minutes has passed, switch the circuit breaker back on. The first thing you will need to do, is to set the time. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start. Turn the oven on. If you are still having trouble with the oven not working/heating, I suggest you contact your local authorized technician to come and diagnose the oven, to see why it will not work correctly.

-Best Regards-

Power from switchboard > oven circuit cabling > supply terminals of oven > high temp cutout > timer > multifunction switch.
usually the high temp, if so, check the cooling fan is working. Watch out for dodgy crimp connections on the wires (mechanical stripping can nick strands off the wire making a hot spot)

Bosch HBN 70 Fan oven will not heat up to temperature, fan and light are working just no heat

99% of the time the problem will be a faulty element or burnt off wire at the element terminal. Best way is to pull the back cover off the oven and check the terminal connections. If these are okay put a set of test lamps across the terminals and you should have 240 volts. If you have 240 volts this tells you that the wiring is okay and the element is faulty. When you turn the oven setting to fan forced selection the power is delivered to the fan forced fan motor and the oven element at the same time. I am not familiar with this exact oven but most fan forced ovens have two fans. There is the fan at the back of the oven that comes on with the oven element and then the extractor fan in the cavity of the oven, which you cannot see but can hear. I trust you are talking about the fan forced oven fan which is generally at the back of the oven.

My jennair burners ,fan and oven light work but

Replace the clock first(electric control) then test the oven it could be that it's why the oven does not work.

Clock went out and now have a loud clicking sound even with electricty turn off.

Checked the fuse box and found no issue, but switched it on and off. Then replugged in the oven but still got the clicking sounds. However after again repushing the clock reset buttons the clock came back on and clicking stopped.

Oven fan won't switch off

it sounds like the clock on the oven has been adjusted, if the clock has been adjust the fan will continue to "Cool Down" the oven for the period set on the clock, it is also a possibility tht the clock is faulty, is the clock digital or Analouge

Error code

Try unplugging or turning off the breaker for 30 mins then plug it back in and see if you still have the 160. I'm surprised that it doesn't have an F anywhere in the code. How old is the oven. Could some of the lights on the control be out. they are LED's and sometime they do burn out. I'm thinking this could be an F06 code which could mean anything from a power surge (clock) and needs to be reset (like I said by switching of the breakers or unplugging) to an EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure. By switching off the oven and waiting about 30 mins. if it doesn't come back on it will be the EOC. make sure the LED (light emitting diodes) aren't out on the control making you

Clock and oven inoperative on elan rangemaster 90

Your electronic oven control (clock) has failed. This being a new appliance, it will be covered under warranty. Call the dealer and ask for the manufacturers warranty/customer service phone number or ask if the dealer provides warranty service. You will need to provide them with the Model and Serial number to obtain service, so have this ready when you call. After service is complete, please connect your oven to a quality surge suppression/arrestor device.
