Cd players ussually stops when there are dust on the lens, clean it with cotton buds gently without any liquids,if still doesnt work adjust the variable switches near the lens usually appears 3 or more.one of it is for the lens sensitivity, the other for the turning speed.turn a little as you can an observe the changes.

Correct the laser is not reading the disk. Cleaning won't help. Usually not worth getting repaired as a similar new unit will cost about the same!

Technics CD player stops playing offer 30 seconds

More than likely 1 of 2 things (or both) have failed...
1) CD Mechanism failure. This is the actual lens and CD tray that holds the CD.
2) The load motor. This is the motor that controls the movement of the CD lens.
If either of these has failed, you'll need to replace the CD Mechanism entirely. All depends on the model CD player you have. If it's a Technics, 99.9% chance part is no longer available, since the ENTIRE Technics line is no more. So the only parts you will find are what is left. They do not manufacturer anything new.

Hi,
H02,H05,H07 is an error code in Panasonic home theater system and dvd player which appear after an unsuccessful loading of DVD,CD. This is commonly caused by a faulty lens assembly and the main board. If you want to troubleshoot it yourself, here are some basic steps that may guide you. Assuming that the disc is good.
1.Clean the lens. - Sometimes because of dust build up and some tiny foreign objects the lens can't read any disc. Try clean the lens by soft cotton buds. Be careful while doing this.
2.Replace the ribbon - Check the ribbon connected to the lens from the main board for scratch, damage. Once it has an open line then of course the lens can't read the disc. Also try to erase the contact by pencil eraser. If you've done the steps above and the symptoms still there then the next step requires you a little knowledge in soldering technique and reading the ohmmeter.
3.Check the motor - Check the motor that spin the disc with an ohmmeter. You can test it using the ohmmeter (x1) even it is connected on the lens assembly.Good motor - reading should be fairly high and it will spin. Bad motor- reading will drop to low resistance and will not spin.
Hint : 50% of my repaired unit the above parts are commonly caused of the problem.
If you confirmed that you have a defective motor then replace it with a new one. Before replacing the new motor you have to check the clearance of the disc holder with the old one. The clearance should be the same as the old because if not the lens will not read the disc if it is too far or too close.
If you already cleaned the lens, and confirmed that the ribbon is good as well as the motor then the fault is either on the optical lens and the main board. It is technical to diagnose the fault between the two, I will advice you to send it to panasonic service center to isolate the problem.
Hope it may help you.
Have a nice day!

Stops working and reads Overload

hi there i have had this problem with technics amplifiers generally with them it was negative and positive mix up between input terminals for the speakers or in other case's running the amp with 2 many speakers.
eg. having 2 speakers Bi wired into 1 input making a 6.1 receiver into a 12.1 which makes the amp struggle causing overload or the worst case is a power unit problem.

Hi. Own A Kenwood RXD 653 midi hi fi that's around 8 years old.The problem is it has, mainly, stopped playing cds.Its a 3 disc changer and when i try to play any cds I can hear the disc spinning but the...

It is the laser, If the cd mech is in the top of this one you may just need to clean the lens manually. Cleaning discs are not all that reliable. You can do this by taking the top off and looking at the area where the disc gets clamped to play. The laser has the small glass lens. That is the part you need to clean. Take a Q-tip and wet it very lightly with some windex or some alcohol. Make it so that the Q-tip is just barely wet. Then just lightly rub the lens without pushing on it hard at all. Just nice and easy over the glass lens. Then dyr it off with the dry end just like you did with the wet end. That's it. close it back up again and turn it on and see if it plays. If it still does not play you need a new laser. No other fix for it.

My Technics SL-DV290 stereo has stopped playing dvd/cds, it just says 'no read' when it initially scans dvd/cd prior to play Please help!

This means that the unit can tell that a disc is present, but can not read it. Try opening up the top and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Let us know if that resolves the problem.
Thanks,
Dan

The only fuse on you stero is for power it's a 6.3 amp 125 volt it'on the main board. I have the sam problem I found a resistor on the board that controls the power amps on the heat sink. A lab here charges 35 dollar bench charge and if you want them to fix it they will apply it to the job. I own the same model and i went to circuit city they had lot of different system on sell. So before i put that in to an old system i'll buy another one
