E:91:01 is an error code that indicates that flash circuit board is not working and need to be replaced to solve the problem.

E91:01 flashes on screen. Flash will not work. Door pops up but no flash. Is there a fix? This is a Sony DSC H-2


The error message is saying that the high voltage capacitor that creates the flash is not charging. There is probably a burned connection inside the camera or the bulb is bad - do not attempt to fix unless you're aware of getting a good jolt of electricity if you touch the wrong thing. Take it in to a repair shop.

Getting error E9101 with my w55


Hi,
The error shows that(Abnormality when flash is being
charged.) the problem in in FLASH UNIT, it needs replacement, the part number is given below according to the model number you mention DSC-W55 Part No. 1-479-663-31 Description (FLASH UNIT).

I have a DSC W 110 sony cyber shot digital camera...since some days its flash would nt work and an error msg E 91 01 is showing up on the screen..i tried reseting and initializing it many times..but all in...

E:91 is a flash error. The flash fuse on the main board or the flash board is bad. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com and I will give you a good price.

DSC W55 Error code E:91:01


Hi,  Its an error of flash unit(E:91:01 denots flash unit problem) which get started malfunctioning. Therefore you have to replace the FLASH UNIT ASSY.
  For changing of flash unit assy. You can contact any sony service centre nearby to you. For your convenience please visit:

It's a flash error, something has malfunctioned with your flash and the system board will continue to give this error until reset by service technician
