Question about Archos 605 WiFi Digital Media Player
I was using my Archos 605 wifi as usual this morning watching a TV programme I had recorded onto it. I then shut it off whilst I did something else and when I went to turn it back on the green on button came on but the screen did not show anything and it made no hard drive noise as it usually would. Also when I plug it into my PC via the USB it does not show up as being connected at all. I have tried pressing the reset button and holding down the TV/LCD button when turning it on but nothing happens apart from the the green on light coming on. Please help!!

Are you trying to actually install flash 9, or just play youtube videos again? (The youtube problem was solved here: http://www.fixya.com/support/t436385-play_anything_youtube)

Okay, I just started reading your problem and started freaking out because it was happening to me and I suddenly thought that I would have to replace it. But luckily, my only problem was that I needed to prop-up my archos while it was plugged in. I would think that somewhere down the line, me and you have both knocked something loose in the connector. Luck to you, cheers.

SOURCE: Archos 605 WiFi stuck
I suffered the same problem as you, fortunately I fixed it after a lot of messing around.
First what you want to do is switch off the system completely. Once the power light is off, switch the system back on, once the LCD screen turns on, immediately press and hold down the YV/LCD screen for about 5 seconds, a white screen should appear.
You will have three options, click the second option, (i think it is repair) and connect the archos to the PC. This will allow you to transfer all your files to PC because you can access the harddrive.
Once you have taken all the files you want, turn the system off again. Then again, turn the system on, hold down the TV/LCD button for 5 seconds until the white screen appears. Choose the format option. This will take your archos back to factory settings. It took me a few goes to get it back to normal but once its done, you will be glad you put the effort in.
Now all there is to do is to take your files back across via cable and you should be done!
I hope that helped!
