Your radio probably has a sub on and off function on it that was reset when it lost power. Go into your setup menu to turn it on.

So you wanna run the subs off of the rear pre amp output rather than just the sub out correct? just get a splitter and run both the rear speakers and sub off of rear channel and front off of front channel. or run all four off of front and subs off rear output. this should give you the sound you want

I just bought the car last week, and only the right front speaker is working. I thought the stereo was bad and replaced it with a new one only to find the same issue. Is it possible that they may have a...

Every stereo has it's intricacies, once you learn the controls then you can adjust the sound. if you have adjusted the balance to equal, then you may have a broken by door swing ground or positive, sometimes the ohms are split by a common positive connection (front and rear) contained with in the circuit of left or right. This crappy circuit could kill 3 of your 4 speakers, but then with the addition of an after market sub, who knows what kind of monkey business has been committed. Start from scratch in stead of chasing down electrical gremlins. Run new wires to all the speakers, dump the sub. Rebuild what should be there in the first place. Verify manufacturers connections and your interpretation of said, in the harness. Verify that the radio or amp can handle a sub without some goofy mono marriage of rear channels to obtain required ohms for crappy walmart sub Bazooka.

On second thought go to best buy, apply for credit card, and tell them that you want to bump down the road.

it sounds like ther is a problem somewhere. double check the wiring going to the subs. if one wire is out of phase it will make it sound like no bass... also try pionting subs toward the tailgate. this will make the subs sound better.it could also be the box. jl audio woofers like sealed boxes.

My speakers do not work but my subs do.

Good day sir, hi, there reason why speakers don't work could either be the folowing:
  1. you speaker voice coil is burnt, to test, you need to get the door speakers out and locate the terminals, prepare a 1.5 double AA battery, use this to test you speaker. connect a wire from the negative of the battery to the negative of the speaker, and the positive battery to the positive terminal of the speaker with a series of gentle taps, you should hear clicking sound. if not replace the speaker.
a9b085b.gif Do it on the other door speaker.

2. check your speaker line from the amplifier to the door speaker.
3. check your power amplifier for loose and improper connection.
4. check your power amplifier itself. Thats it.

Its a little work, visit your local electronic repair shop if your speaker still won't work.

Have stock radio # F75F-19B131-AA its in a 1998 F250 need to know how and if i can hook up one Amp for the two door speakers, and if i can hook up an additional Amp for some subs. Ofcourse if radio can do...

You will need a line level converter for starters (takes speaker level signal and converts it to line level/RCA signal) you connect this to the speaker left/right wires and it has a RCA left right on other end to connect and run to your amps, (you need this box because factory radios don't have RCA outputs on them) At that point all you have to do next is run the power/gnd/rem for your amp and then speaker wires to your front/rear speaker and then sub (if using). You can use one of these converters for your front/back speakers so you will still have use of your front/back/left/right fading options. make sure you disconnect th factory plug/harness at each speaker since the amp will be powering them and you will run speaker wires to each speaker. If you only want one converter it will be on your front channel and your sub will be power by the front. (you will fade to front for more/less sub bass unless your amp has a separate volume/bass control). If you want your sub to fade with rear speakers you will need to install another converter off of the rear speakers. Found a site with some photos that may help you with your project.

I have all the wires running right but for some reason my amp is not picking up or pushing my subs. could the rca jacks be messed up on the stereo?

According to the specs for the xo 1945- the output is; 50W x 4 Max Power Output , and I do not see a pre amp output listed. So I think to connect subs, you will need a separate AMP.
The way this works; the rear speaker wires from the xo 1945 hook into the Add-on amp, for example a 4 channel amp. In a 4 channel amp, the rear speakers come off two of the channels of the add-on, and the subs come off the other two channels. There is also the option of bridging two channels for more output power to ONE sub.
You did not mention what size sub(s) you were thinking of adding, but keep in mind that the ox 1945 puts 50 watts MAX per channel. So, if you add two 12" subs and a 1500 watt amp to drive them, your total sound is going to be very uneven.
If you go on line and look up auto audio or amps, you'll get a good idea of all the Sub and amp options that are available.... Hope this helps.
