If you mean that it's saying invalid system disk or can't locate the hard disk then just use your rescue disks or windows disk to re-install the windows if you use the non-destructive choice when it asks it will retain your files but you will have to re-install any programs you have on it.
or you just do a new install seeing how you were prolly going to replace the disk anyway you may not care if you loose it, this would be the best option.
option 3 is to do the non-destructive install save any files and then do a clean install formatting the disk.
hope this helps.
if it's a new harddisk you need then here is the link http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/

One of your self-created disks may have an error. I recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain system reload/restore disks directly from them. Often, depending on manufacturer, these are free or very low cost, such as cost+shipping ~$15-$25.

Compaq presario f700 windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt. THAT'S THE MESSAGE THAT APPEARS WHEN I TURN ON THE LAPTOP, I DON'T HAVE ANY DISKS FOR THE LAPTOP...

You will need to buy a recovery disc from compaq, contact customer support and technical department they may be able to sell you one at reduced cost. If that is not possible you will need to purchase a copy of windows, "not cheap" try www.ebay.com Type make and model you might find a seller that might have what you are looking for at a good price.

I am having HP pav DV6663 laptop . Currently i am facingthe problem #10008 - Replace the hard disk message while i tried dignostic test for harddrive. Is my hard disk is crshed, and now unusable? whats...

This message is generated when the hard disk has failed completely, at a hardware level = it busted.
You must replace the disk, no way around that - a new better/bigger one will cost you about $40

I got 256mb internal ram and i put 1gb external ram on my hp compaq nx6110 laptop and after few months my hard disk stops working. so now i want to buy a new hard disk so how many gb of hard disk i should...

I think you're confusing RAM (memory) with hard disk space (storage). Installing more RAM makes your computer run faster. More hard disk space gives you more room to store stuff. Which would you like to do?

How do you wipe the compaq presario m2000

I'm not sure if you are wiping it to start over or to sell/give away.

Many newer machines have a Recovery Partition, usually your "D:" drive.

Access the System Recovery partition from the Start-All Programs-System Recovery-System Recovery Menu. Following the prompts will allow you to reformat the computer and reinstall the operating system and all software as it came from the factory. From that point, if you don't want any of the factory junk, you'll need to uninstall it yourself.

If the Recovery partition is missing, (usually a D: drive) , then you'll need to have the original Recovery discs which were created when the computer was new.

If you simply want to wipe it, use a disk wiping tool. Many hard drive wipers, cleaners or shredders can be downloaded at no cost. Visit Downloads.com to search for these programs that are designed to wipe your hard drive. Once you have downloaded a disk wiping program, install it on your computer. Each program will have a unique graphical user interface (GUI) and directions for use. Follow the directions for your selected disk wiping tool and run the program to wipe your hard drive. The program will make sure that all files and data have been completely erased by overwriting the entries multiple times.
