Illegal Tampering w/ my PC causing major legal problems

  • RE: Very Ugly Divorce with some IT evidence possibly able to break a case which is heading 180 degrees in the wrong direction.

MY wife illegally witheld my PC despite a court order to release my "Tools of the Trade" along with my personal possessions. She held the machine for 6 mos. having her IT Tech brother erase the few obscurely hidden digital images I hid where she had assaulted me 3 - 4 times in the last 10 yrs leaving physical marks on me. After 25 yrs & having 12 yr old twin daughters I could not sell out on the marriage & went to marriage counseling for 6 mos by myself last year and something always remained wrong and it was when I went back to check to see if my twins had been violating our no web browsing w/out first parental checking rule; I was shocked to see all of these dating sites w/ my wife\'s Yahoo user ID, found her personals page and later as I got closer to finding out more she just planned out the who event and called the Police one night and had me arrested saying I punched her, yet she has not one mark or contusion but I live in a rural co. in N. FL which is like "Dodge City" & the reason I am telling you is I badly need someone to help me locate the following devices and let me know how I can trace then back to my wife\'s brother who is a 50 yr old bachelor who hasn\'t had a girlfriend in 25 yrs (not gay either) just a gruff with a bad attitude because he had a difficult youth just like I did but I choose to lead a positive life which is gettting gloomier by the day. My wife/brother had the PC for 6 full mos. totally in violation of a court order but because my wife managed all our finances she also planned this whole thing leaving me buried in debt when I had no idea we had any. She got the house, my beloved daughters whom I cannot see w/out spending $50 per hr for no substantiated reason but then my wife cost me my job; one I worked hard to get to VP level over a 30 yr period to get and I have 1 criminal misdemeanor battery and two civil divorce cases and w/ no money, she ended up getting me fired and I lose my health insurance in 2 weeks and have medications in excess of $2K per mo which will cost me my life. I am in bad shape. What I found was "HSDPA Adapters" with the following what appears to be IP addresses:,, and My wife lives in NE FL and her brother lives in central FL. Can these numbers be traced back somehow to a specific PC. I am in dire straits and need something to start helping a case which is turned 180 degrees the wrong way and worse yet I have two young daughters who are suffering badly. Sorry for the length, but I wanted you to know there was a very serious possibly life impacting event behind uncovering the person who made themselves administrator on my PC and set up download capbility, logging for **** that the machine actually came back to me with already loaded with the porn tool bars which I assume when they load the log gets a hit that I supposedly went to porn site. I never had an issue with doing that, but my wife is also trying to establish why the class A father of her kids can\'t see them because she is afraid I would stoop to her level and tell my young daughters all of the horrible things that went on and thousands of $ fraudulently moved into a secret account which by the way if I can tie her phone, banking and internt together does meet the requirement to bring in extra-marrital activity into a divorce case; otherwise FL being a "no-fault" divorce state it does not matter. First can:
Can anyone help me with these apparent IP addresses as far as tracing back to the actual source?

2nd, do you know any PC Guru\'s who live in SW Michigan area that might be willing to look at some PC documents and even see my machine which is a old P4 not worth cleaning and re-formatting but I am on my last dollars and the whole shooting match is on the line; I have serios health conditions and cannot even productively get resume\'s out with the current machine I must use.

I apologize for all of the background info, my life is on the line and I am scratching clawing, (gone back to church and fully accepted Jesus Christ as our savior - sorry if your not a person of faith)

Last night after a family member IT tech looked at the machine and found a bad flash drive and cleaned-up some ugliness on this 5 yr old machine, he had no belief that some individual could have set all of this up so I left it hooked to the web overnnight and as I did that my secret administrator opened my firewall and I got the latest spyware/malware that even the top level of McAfee could not clean off. My local IT family member does not know the other character who is my soon to be ex-brother-in-law; he has an obsession with his poor childhood and walks around with a bad attitude much of the time and I am not sure in 25 yrs of marriage to my wife I ever even seen him smile. He has nothing to do but think of ways to help his sistor continue screwing me over as she is not getting child support at this time while I am out of work which she cause, but she stole so much money over the past 5 yrs (shame on me for being so trusting) but she is paying on multiple life insurance policies and her attorney is telling the judge she is about to lose the house. This is the biggest fiasco of a divorce and I am living it and I am trying to avoid it consuming me. Any ideas on how I can trace who this third party administartor is? I know my machine fairly well as it is 5 yrs old and it was not setup like this before.

My email address is and I would appreciate any leads or sound ideas. I also have a lot of MS Notepad pages I printed from my wife\'s browser activity and some have either My Space Personal accounts or IP addresses and I have a Yahoo User ID she used all over the plethora of married dating sites, but she since changed. I have heard providing I got a court order I could do a system reset back to a date last December before she had me falsely arrested in Jan and that would show what was on the PC supposedly resetting it back exactly to what was on it at that date almost 11 months ago? Is this true. And what about cell phone SIM cards; can they show past activity as well?

Thanks so much for any useful help you might be able to offer me.

Thanks for the additional comments. I ran McAfee, and everything works but my email. Having to type on one computer then go onto another which has no word processor to send out emails has been a painful work-around where I had a resume go out but the cover letter went blank.

I cannot afford to purchase the software so I could re-format my hard drive since my wife kept all of that which was illegal as well, and I cannot affort a new machine either, but without an attorney I am just stuck treading water and my nose is now sinking below the surface.

I will look at the legal sites you sent me and if you know anyone who has the ability to assist me in a financial way, I have the equity in a Florida home which I will double the amount borrowed. My legal fees needed are around $10K - $12K. My home in the depressed market has $100K equity if my wife and I dump it at a pre-agreed price back when we could talk. I am a General Contractor with 30 yrs experience and have a sound understanding of construction value whether commercial or residentail property.

If you would please spread the word if you feel you might have someone who would be willing to help out a Christian father with strong faith-based spiritual values and had a pair of 12 yr old daughters staying with this women who is trying to kill me. She is paying on life insurance policies and is taking advantage of my failing health and getting me fired was the next step in her plan as I will lose my health insurance after one month of $1300 COBRA insurance and I can have no lapse as I have one medication that is $1200 per month and I have a spinal injury which I am the only person out of 500 at a Spine center clinic (reputable one) with such a severe injury who not only works but at a very highly functional level as Director/VP over the largest healthcare capital expansion budget in the state of Florida.

    Thanks so much,

    Rod Slater

First of all, that address is a LAN address, not Internet domain. The others can be resolved just by going to the url or doing an 'arp' query. All computer storage is retrievable if you have an undelete utility -for example, Windows just changes the first digit of each memory address from a 'one' to a 'zero' or vice-versa, leaving the remaining keystrokes unchanged until they are overwritten. Sophicated erase programs literally write all zeros at every memory location which can take a really long time. Servers retain emails and attachments for years so you can retrieve stuff from even a closed account from your isp if you remember the old passwords.   Computer forensics is the name of that game. I don't do that but there are modern sleuths like your basic private investigators that make their living digging through cyber-trash. Sorry you have this going down in your life. Court orders work both ways so for legal help go to and ask a lawyer. It's like a FixYa site for litigants. best wishes, Steve Medley

Computer forensics is a viable question. How it is applied is like answering a question on passwords. I did get a nasty-gram once from Toshiba for helping a customer crack a password but that was because Toshiba said they would clear the password for $175 if he sent the laptop to a service facilty when he was asking for help with a used computer for which he paid only $100! An embarrased Toshiba finally offered to clear the password for $25~ but cleared my posted workaround off the net, lol. And no, removing the CMOS battery does not clear the pasword. NVRAM.

Two pc's at home online but cant see each other

Do you have more details? Wired or wireless? What OS is each system running (e.g., Windows XP Home Edition and Windows 7 Home Premium)? It could be the software firewall on either or both system is causing the issue. If that is the case they would just need to be configured.

My webcam is not working.i can't buy other webcam because my webcam is attached to my laptop on upper portion of the monitor.pls help me to recover my teacher said its because of the virus coz my...

Dont worry just follow the easy steps
Steps to solve the webcam problems The very first step is of course to check your webcam connection. Most webcams use the USB port to connect to the PC, so check if your USB cable is properly plugged. For build-in webcams this steps does of course not apply. Many new laptops have a build-in webcam. Also try connecting your webcam directly to your PC instead of through a USB hub (if you are using one).
The next thing is to do is to check your Windows Device Manager and see if the hardware is recognized and installed properly.
It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem.
windows-xp-other-device.jpg If the device is not recognized in Windows XP, it will be listed under Other Devices.
windows-vista-device-error.jpg In either case you can try to update the drivers. Right-click the device, and in the popup menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.
In case no driver for the webcam can be found, you can try a third party driver finding program that scans your PC for installed hardware and allows you to install missing drivers.
If this fails, the next step would be to uninstall the software that came with your webcam. Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel. If that does not work you can use a third party uninstaller.
After uninstalling the software, restart your PC and then reinstall the webcam software. In most cases this will solve the problems. Depending on the software, you might need to unplug your webcam during the software installation.
If the drivers and webcam software are correctly installed, and you still cannot see any video, there can be a problem with the program settings. Most chat and meeting software have a configuration option to select the video source for the webcam feature. If you have multiple devices that qualify for video, you might need to select your webcam device as the source for the webcam feature in that program.
Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c – Windows Vista: DirectX 10).
Lastly, if your webcam’s image is not sharp, check to see if it has a focus ring. A blurry image can sometimes simply mean the webcam is not in focus. Adjusting the focus through the ring can solve that problem.
Other picture quality problems with webcams can be addressed by changing the video capture properties for the webcam. Most programs that can use a webcam will have an option to access the properties of the video source, which will bring up the video capture properties window.
video-capture-properties.jpg Do keep in mind that not all settings will be enabled depending on the webcam and the webcam driver installed on your computer. In the example you can see that some settings are disabled. The example shows the video capture properties for an Acer Crystal Eye webcam.

I change my computer mac address, how can i restore it back, with out to do a recovery disc.

MAC addresses are burnt into hardware components. Although it is possible to run a program that will cause your computer to report a different MAC address than what is in the hardware, these changes are usually temporary and don't survive restarting the system. If you simply restart your computer, your MAC address should return to normal. If you MAC address has been changed permanently, it was done by entering a change command in one of your machine's start-up files, in which case you will have to locate the changed file and remove the command.

Problems with a motu 828 audio interface

I have the same model. Mine is has never had any problems other than latency issues. BUT just now I have blinking led lights and it has no sound and does not even get recognition from my computer now. I dumbfounded cause its been in the same spot with never being dropped or bumped so I'm gonna take off the face and air clean it. Crackling I did have and as soon as I or sprayed air on the "open" pots it went away. This first generation in my belief should have some sort of recall or refund at a trade up value. I'm now a recording studio with no anolog to digital converters cause my FIRST GENERATION motu 828 is all fritzed out man. It's pain full. I swear when I go to their site they recognize your system and blast at your computer to make sure its all legal which in turn destroys your software and epuipment. Every time I've been to their site. I've had to reinstall all my softwar which I bought from them, re input my serial #'s and last site i went to was the Digi page and blam. anyway, I suggest to just open it up, spray the insides to clean it and pray. lol...

sounds like its a naming problem, if two or more devices on your network have the same ip address it will cause intermitent connectivity. if this is not the case then you should contact manufacturer to see if there are any problems which they are aware of involving this problem.

External Antenna

First, try changing the channel your access point (AP) is using. Maybe there is some interference with another AP or with an electronic appliance such as a wireless phone. Try all available channel. While changing your channel number, make sure that the wi-fi power of your access point is set to the maximum available (100%).

Second, make sure that there is as less metal as possible around the AP, for example if the AP is sitting in a metal book case or on a metal shelf.

Third, some appartment buildings, expecially old ones, have very thick walls made of concrete or brick. This is a nightmare for wi-fi. Try bringing the AP to a more central point in your appartment, if possible (I know this may be complicated).
