I am trying to get my car unit with inbuilt GPS to work. I need to find compatible Australian maps for the gps. The GPS Navigation system is an E900 and the operating system is wince 4.2 net.

try conneection with computer, some gps's require foreign road to be downloaded. if doesnt work than other gps's are only programmed to north american roads and will have to purshase an australian based gps
It appears that this problem was a case of non-backwards compatability with maps to application versions. My gps was on v8.02 application which was not compatable with the v8.15 series of maps. I had to remove ALL the software off the gps, allow it to rebuild using TomTom Home up to v8.300 and then re-load the v8.15 maps. This then stopped my older maps from working.......
I can see this working in a commercial sense; ie every time there is a gps version update everyone will need to purchase new maps, but jeez it's bloody frustrating!!
