Question about HP Photosmart 2610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When power is applied, the HP logo appears on the LCD along with the word "invent" and a progress bar. In about 20 seconds, the progress bar freezes, and within a few more seconds the screen becomes blank for a second, then the above cycle is repeated forever. The printer never initializes, never makes a sound, and never is recognized by the computer.
It was working just fine the day before. The printer wasn't moved or jarred, nor were any cartridges changed or paper added.
I have tried unplugging the USB cable, unplugging and reinserting the power cable, and going through the "partial reset", "semi-full reset", and "full reset" procedures I found at another website. Nothing solves the problem, although "full reset" appears briefly on the screen when I try that procedure.
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Uninstall the program from your computer. Plug in your printer first replace with new cartridge making sure to remover the film on the cartridge Then plug in patch cord to computer, program should reinstall if need be you may have to have your disk that comes with the printer. Hope this works, Printers are going for very cheap I would suggest buying a new one if this does not work.

I will advice you reset the printer, follow the steps below to reset the printer,
1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold ?# and 6? keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.
If that did not fix the problem, try this,

The way you have described your problem gives indication that the problem lies with the electronic circuit/control panel. Therefore I would suggest you to contact your local HP service center/dealer and ask them to replace the machine/part if it is within the warranty period. I will not advise you to open and touch the electronic circuit unless you are a technician.
