Question about HP PSC 1350 All-In-One Thermal Printer

Check print cartridge light stays on and is flashing.

UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! I am so frustrated with this printer. My check print cartridge light won't stop flashing. My husband has completely taken this printer apart ( he worked for circuit city for over 20 years) and he said there is nothing wrong with this printer. I bought it because it looked so much sturdier than my Epson all in one and it is more compact. I have gone through the Hewlett Packard web site and went through the trouble shooting guide and nothing seems to work. Does this printer have a way of checking the ink level to see which cartridge if any are out of ink? I have had printers in the past that told me which ink cartridges are low and which ones they were so that I could replace them. I have priced replacing the ink cartridges and it is $60.00 for both. I am wondering if I should junk it and do without a printer for a while until I can save up for a new one. I really would like it to run because it is a vital part of my business. With the economy the way it is I can't afford to just run out and buy a new one.

This can happen if using extra large fill cartridges, had the same problem but switched to regular carts and it works fine.It usually happens if using non hp carts, guess to force ppl into buying their own make.

How to find ink levels in hp932c printer

Print Cartridge Status The Print Cartridge Status Light flashes when one or both of your print cartridges are low on ink, improperly installed, or malfunctioning. It will also flash if you are trying to use the wrong print cartridge type. If the problem is low ink, the light will stop flashing when you open the top cover. For any other print cartridge-related problem, the Print Cartridge Status Light will continue to flash. To check the status of your print cartridges, open the printer's top cover. The yellow arrow on the print cartridge cradle aligns with one of five Print Cartridge Status icons.

Teardrop light is flashing yellow. Green clock at left is lighted. Control panel says everything is ready but it won't print. There is no paoper jam.

Hi there,

This light that is showing the Print Cartridge Status. Here is what you can do:

If the light is on and not flashing: Check to see if a print cartridge is low on ink. If a print cartridge is low on ink, consider replacing the print cartridge. If neither print cartridge is low on ink, press the Resume button. If the Print Cartridge Status light remains on, turn off, then turn on the printer.

If the light is on and flashing: Verify that the correct print cartridges are installed.

Follow these steps:
1. Open the printer's top cover, remove the black or photo print cartridge, then close the cover.
2. Do one of the following:
  • If the light is flashing: Open the top cover, replace the print cartridge you removed, then remove the tri-color print cartridge. Go to step 3.
  • If the light is off: There is a problem with the print cartridge you removed. Go to step 3.
3. Manually clean the print cartridge.
After cleaning the print cartridge, reinsert it into the printer. If the print cartridge status light continues to flash, replace the print cartridge.if the light is on and not flashing. Check to see if a print cartridge is low on ink. If a print cartridge is low on ink, consider replacing the print cartridge.

Cyan or yellow ink cartridge light stays on. Can not print.

I had this problem after I ran a print cartridge out of ink on my HP business inkjet 1200. The Print color light stayed on solid, and would not print.  After much frustration and trying many other things, I purged the air from the print cartridge pump, and that cleared the problem. To get rid of the air (which I could see through the translucent wall of the pump) I inserted a syringe needle (without the syringe) into the nozzle of the cartridge, and expelled some ink with the air. This is messy, so I recommend gloves. I have been refilling my cartridges for years.

All lights keep blinking!tried unplugging and reinstalling.Dead?

If the Resume c00121686.jpg light continues to blink and the print cartridge cradle does not move to the right side of the printer, try these solutions:
  • Remove and reinstall the print cartridges. Verify that the print cartridges are in the print cartridge cradle before pushing them forward into position.
  • Verify that no obstruction prevents the print cartridge cradle from moving freely on the rod.
  • Verify that the vinyl tape has been removed from each of the print cartridges.
If the problem persists, contact HP Customer Care.

Paper jam?

Check Paper light flashes but there isn't a paper related problem The check paper light may also flash if there are other problems. Verify the following conditions:
  • Verify that the print cartridge door is closed.
  • The print carriage may be jammed, follow these steps to correct the problem:
    1. Open the print cartridge access door. If the print carriage can move, it should move to center. If the print carriage stays all the way left, unplug the power cord and then plug it back in. This will reset the unit and may allow the print carriage to move from the left.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the all-in-one.
    3. Remove both print cartridges.
    4. Move the print carriage left and right slightly to verify that the print carriage will move freely. If the print carriage will not move freely, check for obstructions.
    5. Close the print cartridge access door.
    6. Plug the power cord back in.
    7. After the all-in-one initializes, the print cartridge light will flash. Open the access door and install the print cartridges.
    8. Close the print cartridge access door. If the problem returns, remove the print cartridges and wipe the electrical contacts before reinstalling them.
  • Try to make a copy. If the all-in-one pulls in paper but cannot make a copy, there may be a problem with the scanner mechanism. Contact HP for assistance.
