Hi,

Offhand, I suspect that what you are watching is the PIP (picture-in-picture) display. Pls recheck your remote and determine if you can disengage/disable the PIP feature. Additionally, it may be that your main view screen is turned off or set to a Video/external source and not the tuner. Try the reset (unplug from the mains for an hour to dissipate stored energy that the unit will revert to factory defaults). Additionally, pls post back what remote was used, the original or a replacement/universal?

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Good luck..

There is settings on the menu of your remote control. it must be accidentally dis-configured. dont worry its just a minor problem besides like what youve said the remote control involve on it and not the whole tv got dis-function on the incident. if it has a manual then better to check where its configuration and i think the problem was the h size and v size settings just like in the monitor of a computer. hope that helps

Try the Degauss setting. That will revert the original size of the screen. You can do it using the Remote or on the front panel of the TV, press the two buttons (left and right Volume or sometime left and right Channel) simultaneously. Also there's an Auto Convergence feature on the remote which will revert the original screen size as well.
