Question about Zojirushi NRC-15 8-Cup Rice Cooker

1 Answer

Rice Cooker promaturely pops up before rice is cooked

My Zojirushi rice cooker prematurely pops up from cook to keep warm mode before the rice is cooked. If you press the button down immediately, it just pops up again. You have to wait for it to cook a bit before pressing it. What's wrong? How do you fix it

Try adding a little less water, And letting it sit about 4 min to make sure the steaming has stopped

Rice is sticky and clumpy after cooking

Sounds like it's working perfectly for an Asian family. :-) Our rice cooker is a different design (made for Americans) and we can reduce the stickiness by adding more water than called for and rinsing the rice before cooking. Good luck!
