    I measured the power output from the power supply to the DSP board assembly and I get approx 3V.

    Is the DSP the main board or there is another board ?

    Thanks

Bubulica2000,

There is two reasons to have no display on your screen.
1.LCD panel itself is deffective.
2.Main board(mother board is Deffective)

How to recoganize the problem?

There is 5VDC going from main board to LCD invertor ( different model different pin so I am not able to tell which pin or Jack is)
Check while unit is ON mode it should read in between 3VDC to 5 VDC.If this volt is correct your LCD panel is Deffective.If no voltage appear in this pin Simply change Main board(mother board)

Dont forget to rate!!

GoodLuck

So, For anybody who doesn't know yet, you do not need the factory remote to restore button functions to your Insignia IS-LCDTV26. All you need to do is program a universal remote that can power on and off the TV, then

"**press the "MUTE" Button 10 times successively**"

and Voila! Unlocked, you should see the status appear in the corner of the TV if everything worked, if not try another tv code or try the manual search function on the remote to find another compatible code set.

Color separation ~ Insignia 32" NS-LCD32

1. Unplug unit from wall for 3 minutes;
2. Press & hold Power button for 1 minute;
3. Plug in unit.
OR:
1. Unplug for 3 minutes.
2. Plug in unit.
3. HOLD Power Button as unit starts ... hold until the unit flickers on then off twice.

This effectively returns the components to factory specs, much like resetting a computer. It offers a *temporary* fix, lasting 45 minutes to hours. All depends on the unit.

Mom has an Insignia 32" with the same color separation problem, which worsens as the day progresses. Best results achieved while television is cold.

Dust in the unit could contribute to the problem ... try to keep the unit dust free as possible.

Insignia NS-LCD32

Most likely either the main board (processes all signal) or even an issue with the power board (supplies wrong voltage somewhere).

In either case not cheap.

My Insignia NS-LCD32 TV won't power on. The remote has good batteries, the outlet has power etc. Insignia says to unplug it it for a few seconds and then plug it back in. I tried that multiple times w

The power surges have probably blown the fuse in the power supply board. This may not be the only problem.If you are still under warranty, you will need to have it serviced at a service center. If not You will need to find a repair person or center to open the unit and test it for you. This television and all your electronic equipment should be protected with surge protectors. The reason is your power company has problem with power outages and this will damage your equipment. There is no built in self defense for this equipment due to the huge variants involved with power companies. You should call Insignia and ask them where you can find a authorized service center. You can call the Insignia customer support at this telephone number 1-877-467-4289. Tell them the model number of your television and the problem you have had with its failure to turn on.They will be able to help you find a service center to test and repair your television. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
