Vibrating Washing Machine

I have a Kenmore Series 90 top loader, model # 110.2891279. I haveleveled the machine several times; however, it is very noisy and walksacross the laundry room during the spin cycle. Any suggestions to at least keep it in place?

How long have you owned this unit? If it is new I would look in back for yellow straps and yank them out as they are shipping straps, If it is old I would get it to that point of dancing and stop the machine and check for water in the basket. If this doesn't get it I would pull the machine out and tilt it back and look at the four springs supporting the tub to make sure they are attached especially the one in the back that goes tub to frame. If it is an old but faithful machine suddenly acting this way I suspect basket alignment from a corroded block drive, damaged agitator and holding the lid switch so you can watch the spin will pin point this problem. Another is slow spin from a worn timer leaving water in the clothes, you would know because the clothes wouldn't spin out 100% of the water. Finally older machine can get a sledgy deposit in the back bottom of the tub close to the center causing a unbalance usually marked by a smelly machine that leaves black marks and spots on clothes. Please get back after you have this food for thought.

How many gallons of water are use for the small load cycle, with the 90 series top loader

Conventional top-loading washing machines with center post agitators use about 40 gallons of water per load. Compare that to front-loading machines that use somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 gallons. Remember, that 40 gallons will require twice the energy to heat, too, which is one of the key costs of operating a washing machine.

Kenmore series 90 washer won't go into Spin

This is probably a bad drive coupler between the motor and the gearcase assembly.

Kenmore 90 series washer will get stuck in between cycles

Sounds like the timer has failed. It's a common problem.
