I've already posted your hack from your tips. I think its a bad ram module. CanonUSA is of no help, they suggest turning it off and on again. That's how I deduced it was corrupted memory. But, worse is bad ram. As you will see, these people are a mining company in the middle of nowhere.

I believe that if you reach a busy signal, you can hang up. The conference should ring you back and the rest of the conference will be there.
Here's what the documentation shows from within the help of a 3300 ICP/MCD...
a 5303 is to be treated just like a 2500 series set...
2500, 5302 IP
Phone, SUPERSET 401, SUPERSET 401+, and SUPERSET 4001
To form a Conference when a two-party call is already in place, or
to add another party to an existing Conference:
Press Flash or flash the
Dial the number of the next party.
Wait for an answer.
Press Flash or Flash the
Dial the Conference Call Feature Access Code.
To Leave a Conference:
To split a Conference and speak privately with the original
Flash the switchhook.
