Today i was trying to graph y=2x+23, but when ever i would press graph it would pop up window variables domain. What do i do to fix this?

Your ranges for your window settings are more, or less out of bounds with the equation y=2x+23, that you entered.
Press the [green diamond], and the [F2] keys to bring up the graphing coordinates. Enter the following values to fix the graphing coordinates. Starting at the top, xmin= -8, xmax= 8, xscl=1, ymin=0, ymax=40, yscl=1, xres=2. Now, press the [green diamond], and the [F3] keys, and the graph should display.

xmax = 10
xscl = 1
ymin = -10
ymax = 10
yscl = 1
xres = 2

Then graphing function. See cap image

In home folder (main calculator screen) press [Diamond][F2:Window]] to access Window configuration screen.
Press [F1] ( not mecessary now because the F1 page is open by default). In the F1 page of configuration screen set Xmin=-10,
Xmax=10
Ymin=-10
Ymax=10
Xscale=1.
Yscale=1.

OR
Press [Diamond][F2:Window][F2][6:ZoomStd] (Zoom Standard) to set all values as above.

If a graph is active (axes displayed, or part of a curve is showing) press [F2:Zoom][6:ZoomStd]

Windows variables domain. What does this means? I can't plot my graph.

It means that there's something wrong with your window variables.

Press Diamond F2 to bring up the Window editor and examine the values. Make sure that xmin<xmax, ymin<ymax, and the other values make sense for what you're trying to graph.

Everytime i try and draw a graph it comes up with window variables domain

Hi,
The window variables are not correctly set. Xmin < or = Xmax; Ymin < or = Ymax. Press Apps key, select Window editor. In Window Editor set the values of Xmin, Xmax, Ymin, Y,ax or press F2:Zoom and press 6:ZoomStd.

Hope it helps.

How do you restore a TI-89 Titanium clac

Perhaps one of the following sources will be helpful:

To reset the TI-89 family, TI-92 family and Voyage 200 graphing calculators, press [2nd] [6] (reads MEM over the key). The [F1] menu appears and contains the following options:
  • All RAM - Clears all variables and programs from RAM only. This will not delete items from Archive or Apps.
  • Defaults - Does not clear any files from the calculator. Instead, this option resets the calculator settings to default, including the Mode, Graph Format, Table Setup, and other settings.
  • Vars - Clears all variables from Archive (Flash ROM). This option will NOT delete Apps or variables stored in RAM memory.
  • Apps - Clears all Apps from Archive. This will not delete any variables.
  • Both - Will clear all Apps and Variables from Archive. This will not delete any Variables from RAM.
  • All Memory - Clears everything from RAM and Archive, leaving only the Calculator OS and its components.
For example, I think you will want to follow the last step above... which would be to press [2nd] [6] [F1] [1] [1] [ENTER] [ENTER].

Also, if you are looking to clear all the RAM in another way I would take a look at the guidebook, which is downloadable from the following site in PDF format.

http://education.ti.com/downloads/guidebooks/graphing/89ti/TI89TitaniumGuidebook_Part2_EN.pdf

Take a look at page 951 and 952 for another way to clear the RAM

I accidentally resetted my ti-89 titanium

Hello,
Use the TIConnect software to connect the calculator to the computer.Then in the TIconnect main window you can drag and drop the applications you downloaded from education.ti.com. They will be transferred to the calculator.
I cannot understand why you cannot graph normally since the graphing is not an application, it is part of the OS.
While you are connected to the Internet and to the calculator, you may want to reinstall the OS directly from education.ti.com to your calculator
Hope it helps.

Graphing radical functions

I have a TI-89 Titanium and I have experienced the same problem. HERE IS HOW TO FIX IT:

Goto " MODE " and scroll down the options until you get to
" COMPLEX FORMAT " change that option to " RECTANGULAR " and press ENTER until you exit out of the " MODE " screen. (very important that you press ' enter ' until you exit because if you don't, it will not save your changes. )
