Thats the correct proceedure for the H82 series toshiba. Your eprom may be defective if you cant access the service menu

The eprom is the main processor that has all the service menu parameters programed in. Its a large IC with numerous Pins which is very difficult to replace without the proper tools and it also needs to be reprogramed after installed . This may be better suited for a Toshiba authorized service center to repair.

Toshiba 42H82, no sound after fixing hyperboard.

Search for the audio amplifier - it's a chip with a radiator on it - the jack for the speakers should be close by.

Toshiba 42H82 Blue raster is bowed to the right in the middle to the rt. The auto convergence give an error.

You have convergence output failure. The output ICs will need to be replaced and possibly a small component like a resistor or two as well. Expect to pay a service company $350-$450 to resolve this.

Toshiba 42h82 - "broken" picture

the "scan converter module" is located directly behind the board where your inputs are in the back of the set. That should repair the problem.

Toshiba 42H82 RPTV: Sound but no picture

It sounds like the 200v supply to the crt's is missing. this is the source for driving the tubes, other than the high voltage generated by the flyback transformer. If the set got really bright gray with wome white lines that are kinda on a diagonal, this is generally the cause. the source for this voltage is a diode on the secondary of the flyback transformer.
