Question about Panasonic PT-47WXC43 47" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Panasonic CT-36HX42F will not power on

The television worked fine three days ago. Now, when we push the "on" button, it is as if the television has no power. Nothing happens. No power lights, no click, no sound, no picture. Is there a fuse inside the case that would prevent the television from powering on?

I have this exact same problem. I've had this tv for about 5 years and never had an issue with it. Yesterday my wife mentioned that the tv will not power on. Numerous power sources proved her right. I press the power button and its like the tv is not even plugged in.

I have had the same issue and a couple of times! The fix lasts about a year and then you have to fix it again.

If you remove just the lower half of the back cover (NOT THE UPPER PLASTIC COVER) you will see the power cord which is attached to the circuit board. Next to the power cord is the fuse, but be careful, this is not just a glass fuse you can buy anywhere. To make sure you order the right part go to www.mcmelectronics.com and go to OEM part finder. typed in your model number exactly how it is on the back and do your search. You will then see every part that is available through them that you can order. If you also notice you will see just above all those parts that they have a board location search. Look at the fuse in question and get the location number from the circuit board and type it into that search and you will have the correct part number shown to you, but if you look there is not a price listed. Copy the part number down and again go to www.mcmelectronics.com and on the top of the home part you will see a nice search bar where it will say enter part number or keyword here. Type or paste that part number into that and search. You will then be able to see how much the part is and if it is available. I do not work for MCM, but they are a great source in finding exactly what the part number is if your doing it by board location.

On remote you must push the TV button first then the on button to activate or deactivate the TV. Channel or volume on the TV does not need to select anything on remotes.

32'' Panasonic television. Power switch does not turn the set on.

1 It appears that connecting cable is faulty. Normally when you connect and push the power switch the standby light should lit. Try the cable on another appliance and see its function. Also switch on the TV and try to switch it on with your remote control.

Tv won't turn on at all

no remote but tv was working with front power key? unplug from ac outlet and plug back and listen for any type of indication (noise or chirp) that something energizes inside if theres nothing then suspect a power supply problem, main fuse blown, shorted low volt rectifiers other components could be at fault.

Push the power button and the action button on the tv set until it shuts itself off and this will reset your tv. You cannot use the remote to reset...must use the actual tv buttons on the television set.

I had the same problem. Sometimes the processor gets overheated, particularly when dealing with high definition signals. Unplug the television from the power strip or wall outlet and it should reset everything. When you plug it back in it should work. Not a long-term solution, I know, but it will get your TV working again.

Main fuse blown on CT-32G11 32" Panasonic TV, Replacement fuses continue to blow.

If the main fuse keeps blowing, check the horizontal output transistor for a shorted condition and diodes in that section as well.
