Question about Polaroid DVD & Blu-Ray Players

I have a DVD player PDV_0700 and it needs to be fix. Aprently the electrical connector does not make full contac therefore it does not work.where can I breing it to be repear?

Yes this was a common issue with the 0700 units if you are familiar with soldering you can pop off the bottom case and resolder the positive pin goes directly to the main board this pin for some reason comes completely loose and if juggled around will turn on but as soon as it is moved it shuts off. If not familiar with solder work take to a mom and pop shop and have them resolder the pin should be around 40 or 50 bucks

The PDV0701A will not power on and screen is black . If you turn switch off white lines appear on screen as it turnes off . No sound and dics does not move . Please advise .

I'm having a problem similar to those describe regarding the drop off of the picture during dvd playback. However I noitced that if I plug the player in directly, rather then just running it on the...


The problem of Polaroid DVD-players is too suggen cuttofs during playback. Usually there is no "low battery" warning 5 minutes before it just cuttofs. Usually it has 4 hours playback time.
Probably you need to replace the battery.

Polaroids are well known for this issue you can try to replace video cable if that doesnt work if still under warranty send it in if not you will need to make a video rca repair

No video - just a white screen


So I am guessing you have audio and no video, your monitor has went out. you can check and see if ribbon cable is slightly uplugged, but maybe just a bad monitor. These happen usually from a drop or hard hit to the unit.
