Check the roll out switch it is located right in front of the burner assembly it will have two wires on it some times they are resat-able if you have to reset it do so and then put on the heat to see if flames are coming back out to trip the roll out sensor. make sure the heat exchange and burners are clean.
a 'roll-out' safety switch it a small button looking device with a smaller tab/button sticking out of it, near the gas injection manifold. has 2 wires attached. the reset button is generally between these wires. it's designed to shut the unit off, by breaking the power circuit, if flame ignition causes fire to back flash out of the fire box. Press the little button and try relighting. if the roll-out pops again, and there was no roll out of flame, you made need to replace it.
Hello Try looking for a tiny TAN colored (button) near the front of the burner rack.It will have a wire in & out of it.In the middle there is a small tab/button.Push that in you will hear a click. That is the rollout switch.Check the vent/exaust pipe for blockage/draft to determine the cause of the switch tripping. The switch is a SAFTEY and repeated trips means there is a problem.
If the rollout switch is tripping that usually means that the venting is either not working or is insufficient to get the combustion gases away properly. Check the venting out and also the fire. If this is a gas burning appliance the gas valve could be dumping too much gas in and making too hot of a fire. This is a safety device and should never be disabled for any reason. Find out what is causing it to trip.
do not adjust your gas pressure without an manometer or if you dont
know what you are doing could be very dangerous. Roll out switches are
manual reset if you have an open roll out on a Goodman furnace you
probably have a cracked heatexchanger, get a qualified technician out
did the furnace kick in at all after you replaced the rollout? if it did run then check the filter make sure its clean, or even leave it out for a bit. if it didnt run after you replace the roll out then switch the breaker off then wait ten seconds then turn back on this will reset the ciruit board and it should try to cycle. next thing you can try is jumper the roll out switch DO NOT LEAVE IT JUMPERED, its just to double check that its not the roll out, if it works jumpered replace the roll out again and try that. if none of that works take out the crews on the ciruit board and check the back. sometime when a ciruit board fails there will be a burn mark somewhere on the back, if there is replace it.
sounds like your burners need to be cleaned, you will need to pull them out and clean the rust out of them. the rust builds up on top of the burners and when you gas valve opens and fills the burners full of gas you will have a roll out of flames. hope that helps.
