Question about Graco Simplicity Rock n Roll 330 Crib

1 Answer

Graco swing has very limited range of motion. It still "works", but something inside is damaged or fell off. I have taken it apart to see the parts in motion, and it all looks like it is doing what is should, and it doesn't look like anything is broken. But when the swivel pin moves, it moves in a wide slot that only contacts and causes the swing to rock at the end of it's motion. Does that make sense? It looks like a piece fell out, but I have not found anything on the floor . . . Can I buy replacement parts somewhere or fashion one that will work?

We bought a used swing (lovein hug). It was in super condition but we noticed the same thing where it would hardly swing. My husband, who seems to analyze things that don't work, took it apart to see why so much slop was in there. He couldn't find anything obvious why it was doing that, so he took a piece of small cardboard (off an oatmeal box) and wrapped it around to make it fit on both sides and wrapped it with black electrical tape and stuck it back in. It's hardly noticable. We also changed the legs around to make sure the legs make the swing lay back.

Hope this helps!

How to disassemble graco swing

First, take part the seat. It had buttons and what not so undo them and take it off the frame. 2nd: Take the mobile (where the teddies hang) part by pulling. From there you just pull things apart. You shouldn't need any tools.
I hope this helps a little.

Pajero / Delica - How to take apart "female" or

A flathead screwdriver should be able to pry apart the female end of the latch. Sometimes the female end is glued together, or similar. In order to prevent damage to the connector, I would recommend you try using some tweezers or similar to pull the debris out. A bent coat hanger, thick piece of wiring, or similar may work as well.

I bought it and put new batteries in it and the music will play and i press the buttons to make it swing and it doesnt do anything. It doesnt make any noise like its trying to swing or nothing. Could that...

Graco swing motors are known for going bad, sorry. I have had no luck trying
to fix them as you tear them down and the electronics are what has gone bad.
They have a motion sensor in them along with a complicated motor to swing swivel
that if you lose a small ball that is the interface, you are doomed.
Time for a new one and if you buy one at a garage sale be sure to run it with weight in
it for at least 5 minutes. That culls out the bad motor ones!

Dropped something in printer

Best bet would be to carefully take the printer apart, and remove the object that fell inside. The more you use it with an obstruction, the more likely you are to cause permanent damage. If you aren't confident that you'll be able to get it back together properly and do not want to replace the printer, simply take it in to any computer repair store and they'll quote you a price. If there is no internal damage is should be fairy inexpensive.
