Hi Tomtaylorsal,

If that is the case then you can install it back in the computer using the CD for either Microsoft Works or Microsoft Office, so it's fairly easy. Worst case, if you don't have the CD's with you, then you may try to contact the place were you got the PC (store, or computer manufacturer) at rare times, they tend to forget to include the CDs when they send the package.

If they are not able to provide you a CD at all then then last option I would recommend is downloading a free version of office called OPENOFFICE which is by Sun Microsystems. It works and looks very similarly like MSOFFICE you can check this out at: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html just click on "Download OpenOffice.org" and it will start downloading. Then just install and follow the instructions.

Hope this helps!

Peace! :)

Go to

My PC >> double click on your Hard drive C >> Go to Program Files

On program Files >> Go to Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works >>

(This is a path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office or Works)

Open a folder and find the "Works.exe" (double click to open)

If don't see the program you have to install it again.

Thank you for using FIXYA
Have a great day!

How do you wipe everything off a PC except the operating system?

Just uninstall the programs from the program list. Click Start/Programs and normally programs with a folder might have an uninstall option when you open the folder.

You can also click Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and then hightlight the program you want to uninstall and click uninstall or remove.

Hi there. There is a program you can download, called keyfinder. when you run it, it scans your hard drive and lists all the microsoft product keys that are on your system.

    Here's the link:

Just click on Download Keyfinder v2.0.1, and away you go.

    Microsoft office basic edition 2003

Try using the Office 2003 removal tool. Just download the Office 2003 Editions Resource Kit at this link. It's called ork.exe:

    http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2003ddl.htm

After it's installed followed these directions:

To locate the tool, click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, point to Microsoft Office Resource Kit, and then click Removal Wizard.

Then follow the on screen instructions that will walk you through the removal. After Office is completely removed, restart and try to reinstall.

    Hope this helps!

You shouldn't have lost anything unless you deleted it. Just by moving the computer will not lose any programs.

Download and use the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility to uninstall .Net Framework and any Hot fixes for it.

    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...BD/msicuu2.exe

Then try re-installing .Net Framework.. You need at least 1.1:

When i try to type anything in any of my microsoft works programs the letters dont work. but all the other keys work. what can i do to fix it

    1. Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft office
    2. Install and antispyware and antivirus and make sure your pc is not effected with any such things which might attach them selves with the .dll files of the office and not letting you to type anything
    3. close all the other applications which are consuming most of the CPU usage (This can be checked by going to task manager under performance)
    4. Generally when the office program stop responding there is file known as hungapp.exe which stops working due to which the office stops to respond.
Hence it is strongly advised to follow all the above mentioned steps

    Thanks and REgards
