Question about LG Vu CU920 Cellular Phone
Yep I have an 8 GB sandisk card that is the type of card in the picture that the phone needs, ( only the one in the picture was a 1 GB ) well I've tried using my 8 gb card in my phone with both Fat32 and NTFS formats and my phone did not read the card. The card is good cause my computer picked it up duh... I really wish lg had advanced warnings not to go out and buy an 8 gb card cause they dont work... darn? makes me mad. unless this phone gets updates ? I do not think it can use an 8 gb memory card. Oh and I used a usb card reader to format the card not my phone ? Sounds like the 4 gb ones have worked in the LG Vu CU920 pretty sure I saw that somewhere ? Ive already wasted 60 bucks on wrong memory cards for this phone though and Im getting affraid to even try getting another one. LG you have not made me all that happy.

I just got an Lg Vu 920 and at first i had a problem with my memory card until I played with it for a while. My phone also told me that the card wasn't ready. I simply put my card in my card reader and formatted it. I made sure that the format type was NTFS and I put in back in my Vu and it read it. Then I started adding music to my phone. But, anonther problem that you might run into is that it will not allow you to use and ringtone exceeding the size of 300k or 30 seconds. So, theres' the answer to that question if anyone is wondering about that. Kinda sucks. All this phone with limitations.

I was told that the new cu920's will be able to hold 4gig and the older ones only hold 2 gig.

I believe they are only capable of 2 gig, get a brand new 2 gig for around $7 online, and the device should recognize it, i have the brand name kingston, my problem now is, i cant sync music, if u figure that out, let me know

Believe it or not, a lot of the older phones (an even the newer phones) will not support the 8GB memory card. Most of the phones on the market that support 8GB cards are the smart phones and PDA's. There are a few standard phones that support it but not many. Unfortunately, the LG 550 is not one of them. :o/
You may need to take it back and exchange it for a smaller one.
