Question about Motorola Walkie Talkie 2-Way Radio

Strange sound coming from walkie talkie, strange beeping

My motorola fv100's have been working since December normally. Recently, one has been doing something strange. When you transmit from the radio, it only transmits for a split second. Then, it beeps twice at a higher frequency than the normal roger beep along with the roger beep. If you transmit from the other radio to the issued one, a "moaning" sound can be heard on the bad one. The transmission comes through but the moaning is in the background. I have changed the batteries out and it has not gotten better. Please help!

Most Motorola radios give a beep-beep when the batteries are low and need changing. Make sure to use a good brand of battery. One other thing to check for is leaking batteries, the crud with cut down on performance.

I have a set of Motorola T5720 walkie Talkies. I cannot determine if one of them is not receiving or the other is not transmitting.

One radio works properly, the other can receive. I assume there are more than two by the question. Check and then rotate you batteries, mark on the working unit battery that it is GOOD. Transmit takes a great deal more power than receiving. Batteries, even un-used only last 18-24 months typically. If no joy, then check your programming but I think that is unlikely. It really sounds like a power/battery issue.

What is the talk range on the motorola FV100

They don't go very far. They're okay for work around the house and very limited distance but once you get about half a mile away they start to break up. It should be noted that all radios - especially of such low power - are affected by atmospheric conditions and obstacles that may be in the signal path.

I have a motorola cp 110 walki talkie .red light comes on but no beep or commuunication

If you have no initialization beep when you turn the radio on, it is likely the radio is in need of repair. Immediate things which come to mind are a sticking PTT button, something stuck in audio accessory jack, or a bad speaker. You might check the radio using a second radio and see if you can transmit.

best regards.

Where can I find an authorized repair center for Motorola Walkie Talkies near Pensacola, FL 32505?

I work for the authorized motorola dealer for pensacola, but i work in another branch. Typically we do not service the "walkie talkie" line that motorola makes. For those, you should contact motorola directly. Here is their contact link:

When i try To walkie-talkie it wont work

They do not have signal to receive the walkie talkie service. Try texting them and telling them to get in an area where they can get better service. Walkie Talkie coverage is very spotty.

The Motorola GP340 radio is a dealer programmable radio. It requires a cable, radio interface box and Motorola proprietary software (which is available by subscription to dealers and qualifying entities).

Motorola EM1000 2 way talkie unable to transmit

Low/Bad battery beep most likely. Try switching batteries to the problem radio and see if the problem goes away. If so, replace the batteries. You might also check the battery contacts both in/on the radio and the battery. Clean with a pencil eraser if necessary.

  • may be the walkie talkie can recieve signals only to an certain distance,so it may be due to the signal problem........
  • if the reciever is beyond the permitted distance it loose its frequency...........
  • or else the person who is calling walkie talkie might not hav signal in that area.....
