This is the exact problem and message I sent to Canon
"Ok guys I need help. My friend recently loaned me a Canon ZR45mc with a FireWire. I have a very good WindowsXP. My problem is: How do I putt videos from the tape on my PC with a FireWire??? When I plug it in, it comes up with the Driver install message, and I downloaded the driver software from your site, which did not work because the README said to set it to Card. 1. I do not want to install the card driver, just the driver for the tape. 2. I do not have the card. Also, it was not installing either. So please tell me how to put video clips on my Pc with the firewire. I tried hittin Windows Movie Maker and selected "Capture from Video Device" but it was not detecting anything. Please reply soon."
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Please also keep in mind that this block is temporary. You can still use other Facebook features to connect with your confirmed friends while you're in this block.
Once your block is over, please only send messages and friend requests to people you know personally. To learn more about our policies, please review the Facebook Community Standards.
Note: If you're blocked from sending messages, you may also be temporarily blocked from sending friend requests.
There is no such thing as lossing your friend list except if you accidentally deleted them from your friend list.
There are a few ways you might be able to go about this,
Follow the steps below to see if they help you.
1.Ensure that you are signed in and if not you can sign in or try signing out and signing in again and then all your friends should be on your account there.
2.If that doesn't work, you can check the list of recent people with whom you played games and if you played a multiplayer game with any of them recently, you should be able to see their names and re-add them.
Lastly, if the previous steps don't help, you are sure to have sent them messages of recent.
You can go into your sentbox of messages and you should see a list of all sent messages and the people to whom you sent these messages. You can go through the messages and add them again.
hope this solution was helpful? please comment for more information and thank you for using Fixya.com
try to delete all Send messaged in your Sent folder in your Outlook. Because there is limitation of 2GB per folder, and if you reached it then all messages in Outbox can not be sent because they can't be copied to Sent folder.
Click on messaging icon from main menu.
Click send message.
Instead of clicking text message click on pic/video message.
then you have 4 options TO: CONTACTS , TO Mobile#, To Email, And finally To Recent lict. Click on recent list and checkmark all the numbers you want deleted then click options bottom right corner then click delete.....
All finished hope this helps.
There are a couple of things it could be. From simply checking the cable on both ends (computer to monitor) to see if they are loose. It could also be the card is damaged. I would check it with a second monitor to be sure.
It is exactly right... YOU are not 'in control' of the hard drive and your buddy's computer doesnt have the 'permissions' to work with YOUR files...
It MAY be possible to get the okay if he logs into his computer as the administrator.... it is NOT an actual 'hardware' issue... being able to see the files says that... XP and vista are 'close enuf' design-wise that drive compatability isnt it either...
If your friend can log in as 'administrator' he will likely be able to take 'ownership' of the files on your 'external' drive and get what you need!
