    thanks for helping.

DAR482BLS is the model number. The manufacture date was not printed, however the compressor was made 1/8/2002. I took the evaporator loose and cleaned a screw that had some rust on it. I put a thermometer in the fridge and it's held steady at 41 degrees over night. It wouldn't do that at all last week! It seemed like there is a wad of plastic at the top where the cooling lines connect to it; not sure why it's made that way.

    thanks again for your help.

Just 482 is incomplete!!!!!!!!!

Can you send me the complete model number off the sticker in the fridge or on the rear of the fridge?
and the year of it! waiting your response!

    Faulty Cold control (temperature control)

    The
cold control is a temperature actuated switch and should open when the
set temperature has been achieved. If the control does not open and
turn the compressor off, it will continue to run and all items in the
fresh food section will begin to freeze.

If the control is not closing, the compressor and all fans will cease to operate. Check the control for
    continuity.
I found an idea for you.

Sanyo Mini Fridge Freezes Everything

Hello,
For me I think you have a problem in Thermostat switch contact. Or the rotary switch was not in good contact point, better check it and if still the same, proceed to check your thermocouple if functioning.
