Usually the router takes of this, and uses the same IP. Login to router via web browser and verify DHCP settings is set to client. Then very Attain DNS Automatically is set. You manual has pics.
If you reset your router normally by holding in the reset button for 10sec , it will go back to the default password and admin . Sometimes the default password and admin is stored at the bottom of the router. the username and password for this model is admin
Hello, Here is a link to the Quick Installation Guide for your router. Hope this helps.
To configure the router you type in 192.168.1.1 in your web browser.
A login box may appear, if it does Enter "admin" for Username and Password, and click on the
OK button.
you will need to go to a station that IS connected to the router (preferable wired) and open a browser to HTTP://192.168.1.1 admin should be both the username password. go into your wireless security setup, and look up or change your WEP key. Use this WEP key in your I-Pad, and VOILA, you're connected. If you have any further issues, post a reply to this thread.
1. connect yellow cable from Actiontec to the internet port (labeled internet) 2. Power cycle the engenius router. 3. login to the Engenius and verify the status. You should an IP Address from the ISP (Internet Service Provider). If not then you will have to verify the IP address from the router. 4.Make sure the laptop the see the wireless connection. 5.Verify the "ESSID" if your router and connect.
Yes you can. The button is in the software. goto http://192.168.1.254 or whatever the URL for the modem. Login. Goto Home-->Wireless--> Push WPS Button Remotely and push the button. I don't know if you need to have the repeater nearby when you do this. I had mine sitting right next to my router.
Since you did not specify the manufacturer and model, I cannot give specifics - but I absolutely assure you that "password protecting" the wireless mode of your router is a part of the setup. So, reenter your setup mode and browse the setup menu.
If you have the radio configured as a bridge (not a bridge-router), you must ensure that your computer is in the same LAN IP subnet as the remote router. If the remote router supplies DHCP, this should happen automatically; if not, you must configure your computer manually.
Once there, you may have to manually define DNS servers on your computer in order to access machines on the internet by name. If you can browse to http://216.239.122.34, but not to http://google.com, your problem is solely lack of defined DNS servers. This is not an artifact of the Engenius units, but the remote server.
