Manual for PSR 270 KEYBOARD

Yamaha has the manual for the PSR-270 keyboard on the product site: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/portable_keyboards/psr270/ . Click on the support tab. The direct link to the manual (in English) shows in my history as: http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=35052 .

I hope this helps.

Is there a Yamaha school of instrument repair? Pianos, Keyboards and Organs

Yamaha prefers to MAKE the instruments rather than conducting repair schools... they may have some very specialized schools for individual types when first introduced. With the situation in Japan right now such classes would be cancelled I am sure. Instrument repair is so specialized other than basic piano repair/tuning that you will find few if any courses. For piano repair you might want to search YouTube for videos. For organs and keyboards, detailed electronic knowledge and the service manuals are what we have to work with. You need both experience in digital and analog plus test equipment including oscilloscopes and signal generators as a start.

Lost the user manual for my Electronic Keyboard

Hi,

I lost a user manual, then found these guys. They emailed it to me in about 2 hours and it only cost about £3, which i thought was very reasonable.

Need yamaha psr170 keybord manual and a/c adapter! can anyone help? was given to me, don't know if it works.

Click on the following link:

http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail.html?CNTID=2258&CTID=205000

If you then click on the "Resources" tab, you'll be able to download the manual. The A/C adapter you're looking for is the "Yamaha PA3B Power Adapter", which has now been discontinued. You can use an universal power adapter instead using these specifications:

Input: AC 120V, 60HZ
Output: DC 12V, 700mA
Polarity: Center Positive (+)

Hope this helps. If so, please rate. Thanks.

When I power my ypt-300 the LCD lights up and

Press the FUNCTION button till "Local Control" appears and then select it "On".

It appears this may take quite a bunch of presses to get down to the Local Control option.

Refer to your manual around pages 56 and 57 to see the list you step through. Local Control is about 2/3 the way down page 57.

Refer to 59 for the simple instruction toe set Local Control on or off.

You can get a free download of the manual at:

Click on the resources tab to get to the download.

I own the motif xs8 it came with a falsh drive and i cannot get the info from the flash down loaded into the user 2 bank. can you walk me thru the steps to get this 700 grand piano loaded properly? When I...

This keyboard is over my head but I was wondering if you have looked here yet:http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/result.php?div_code=emi&model=MOTIF+XS&cat_code= I looked at the manual for the Motif editor and it looked easier to understand than the actual users manual. There is a DVD listed here that might help:http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MotifXSDVD/ I was also wondering if it would help if you joined a forum such as this one:http://www.sweetwater.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9 I wish I could be more help than this but not having this keyboard limits my advice. I do hope I have given you some helpful suggestions though. It is definitely a wonderful ionstrument.

Yamaha DGX-620 blank screen or screen with vertical lines

I`ve had a similar problem with a Korg that I use at the club and on gigs, I don`t know whether Yamaha use a similar method or not but when I stripped mine down, I found that the glass LCD panel is connected to the PCB via a ribbon cable which gets sandwiched between the PCB and the LCD panel when screwed up, It`s not soldered or hard wired to the PCB, It was producing intermittent connections between the uPC and the display panel where parts of letters and symbols were missing. When I removed the panel, I found that it was oxidized so I used some switch cleaner which doesn`t leave a residue (Don`t use lubricant or WD40 as this will destroy the LCD panel by penetrating between the layers of Liquid Crystal rendering it useless) and gently cleaned the contacts on both the LCD and PCB panels (Don`t spray the panel or this could penetrate) by spraying a small amount onto a tissue then gently wiping this into the nooks and crannies with a nail brush then wiping off the excess with another tissue. I`ve had no problems since, (touch wood). Please use extreme caution when working with these panels as they are dedicated to your keyboard and therefore extremely expensive to replace. If yours has an extension lead from the LCD panel to a plug on the PCB, it should be a lot easier to clean this one cable where it enters the plug on the PCB than mine was, but still use extreme care. Best of luck, Ian
