There might be a problem with the cartridge even if it is a new cartridge.

Muratec 2830 drum cartridge problem.

The drum cartridge is different from the toner cartridge. The drum has reached its life cycle and must be replaced. This is normal for any copier of that class.
The drum is not too expensive and not difficult to replace.

Hope this helps!

Replaced toner alarm light is still on saying replace toner

The toner has a fuse in it. When you replace the toner the fuse blows and resets the toner counter/light. Sometimes it blows and fails to reset. If you can solider you can replace the fuse and try again. Otherwise you will have to exchange the toner cartridge for a new one.

HAVE REPLACED CARTRIDGE STILLS SAYS RECOMMEND NEW CARTRIDGE

Canon use chipped cartridges, if you use a generic or a refilled one that uses the old chip (you have to move the chip yourself) then it will report it as empty, unless you re-set the chip with a chip re-setter that is made for those particular chips.

Fax saying no cartridge, but have just put new one in machine

That means that your fax machine is not recognising the cartridge. Either is not been put correctly or the cartridge suport is broken. Try with the old cartridge or with the new one use a bit of tape to old it against the contacts of suport cartridge. GOOD LUCK.

I have a MP 730 Canon and it says that the cartridge is jammed. I just put a new cartridge in it and it seem to go in fine. Denise

Mp730 has got no chips on the front of the cartridges, Cart is Jammed in normally due to the Carriage Unit or the Logic Board not the Cartridge.

Hope this helps

Flashing alarm and 'put in cartridge' Canon woe's

Hi, I tried hitting the stop button (well I pressed it, even though I felt like hitting it)
Nothing happened.
Using genuine cartridges, haven't tried a re-fill, tape is removed
Canon say the cartridge holder may be at fault but printer has barely had any use (do they die of old age?)
It just keeps flashing at me and message is 'put in cartridge'

Led Alarm turn on message: change the Cartridge

I'm not sure which spring you mean. From what you are saying, it could be one of the springs that keeps the drum cover closed on the cartridge itself. In this case it's probably that you are using a cheap re-filled cartridge that hasn't been assembled correctly. The cover is designed with a piece that actuates the sensor which tells the machine that a cartridge is present. My suspicions are that this sensor has become misaligned and needs to be replaced. Keep looking and you will find it. Any drawings Canon provide won't show clearly enough to work with.
