My Zenith TV is several years old, but lately the color is going bad. The screen is mostly green tinted, and no matter what adjustments are done to the color, nothing seems to help. Not sure what part needs to be replaced, or even if repairing is a cost effective option.
Same as Melinda's problem, except my problem is red. No color gain controls inside the cabinet anywhere! I've been fooling with tv's all my 50 some years, but this is a first for me. Jim boxation@npgcable.com

My tint is mostly red. green does not even show on the screen. Is there something I am missing?
I AGREE WITH MR TECHMAN, IN ADDITION TO THE SOLUTION SOMETIME OR MOST OF THE TIME THE PROBLEM IS ON THE CRT CIRCUIT SPECIALLY THE TRANSISTORS,,,HOPE THIS WILL HELP TKS...

Sounds like tyo me that the picture tube is getting soft on ya!!. Its a common factor that occours with all tvs but mostly with zenith. A service tech might be able for a small fee rejuvinate the picture tube but theres never a warrantee with this type repair. Its not something a user should attemp to do as theres hi voltage inside this set even on the tube socket after its ubplugged for awhile. Seek the advise of a repair pro to see how bad the tube is. Good Luck

MINE IS DOING THE SAME THING! I looked in back and it showed VR"s for all 3 colors on the partial schematic. when i looked for them on the board there are marked spaces for the vr's but none are there. i guess it is now adjusted thru a service modew possibly using the remote can anyone help with the color adjustment proceedure (for tech)?
