Ebay limiting seller

Been with Ebay for many years and have a 100% positive feedback rating. As soon as I signed up with Auctivia, I received an alert: Attention Seller. You can not submit your listing due to the following problems. In order to help maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed and/or revise in a 30 day period. At this time you are now limited in the number of certain items you may list or revise in a 30 day period. I have a long standing and consistent positive history of selling items such as the active listing that prompted this alert. I did not know Ebay would limit me if I signed up with Autivia and feel that I am being punished unfairly. The reason I signed up with them was to get my pictures posted one on top of each other instead of side by side. I have been with Ebay for a very long time and I honestly feel this action is unfair and unwarranted!!! I read recently that “EBay’s relations with sellers over the last few years have deteriorated". I have always been Ebay's staunch supporter, especially at my Executive Women in Business meeting. However, Ebays actions have me very concerned. I would appreciate any help you can give me. I recently received an invitation from Amazon to join their Marketplace service. Sincerely, Juanita Amacher

Bminis,

The sad truth is ebay doesn't and will not talk to users directly "live" on the phone. When I called these corporate ebay numbers, all paths led back to their website. The closest thing to live interface with a rep is through "live chat" support available through their site. A thought, if you get a rep in a chat session, hit him up for phone number, be relentless, **** him/her off if you have to, but, get resolution to your issue. Remember, "the squeaky wheel gets the oil." This is the best I have to offer, I hope it helps.

I want to give feedback to a seller on my paypal account

How to leave feedback the RIGHT way 18af_7.jpg?set_id=81 Published by mutti74 October 26, 2013 . 14K Views . 2 Comments . 79 Votes So you finally gave in and bought something on ebay? WAY TO GO! Welcome to the world of endless deals and bargains!
Are you happy with your purchase?
Answer: YES! I love it!
Awesome, now lets let the seller know. The easiest way to leave feedback is to simply go back to the page of the actual item. Either type in the item number and click search OR go to MY EBAY and look under "All Buying" under "Won" and click on the item.
Once you get to the page, look towards the top, it'll say LEAVE FEEDBACK, simply click on that and Voi'La you are ready to leave feedback.
Since you are happy with your purchase, rate POSITIVE and write you comments in, such as: "Fast shipping, very happy with purchase." or "Great product, excellent communication!"
We are not done yet, Ebay has integrated a STAR system to rate sellers. You can rate 1-5 stars on "Item as described", "Communication", "Shipping Time" and "Shipping & Handling Charges".
Here is a tip about shipping and handling charges. Sometimes you may not be happy with those charges, KEEP ON MIND: Whatever you bought could have been shipped from the opposite side of the country (or even from another country), so OF COURSE they may be higher than having it sent from 1 end of a state to the other hand!! Those actual shipping charges are out of sellers hands.
All set with your rating? Simply leave feedback and DONE! Easy, fast and simple.
Now......a STRONG REMINDER. I often browse through ebay guides and reviews and TOO MANY buyers mistaken this area for contacting the sellers. This REVIEW and GUIDE area has NOTHING TO DO with leaving feedback or communicating with sellers!!!!! Follow the above steps to properly leave feedback.
What if you are not happy? Follow the above steps to get to your items page and click on (right side of page) CONTACT seller and email them. Whether it is a breakage or the item has not arrived yet. Give the seller some time to resolve the issue and to respond back before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I am a seller myself, as well as buyer. I ONLY result in leaving neutral or negative feedback if:
A: I have a non-paying bidder (new ebay rules NO LONGER permit sellers leaving negative feedback to non-paying bidders, so sellers really have no way of warning others anymore)
B: I bought something, it arrived broken or did not arrive at all, and the seller NEVER responded to NUMEROUS emails over a 2 week period, plenty of time to respond and rectify.
C: The seller told me basically something like "oh well, not my problem".
IF the seller responds and rectifies the mishap by either refunding money or sending out a duplicate item, there is NO reason for me to leave a bad feedback since the seller took care of me in a satisfactory manner.
Personally leaving a neutral feedback would be perhaps if the item I bought took a very long time to arrive (remember overseas purchases do take longer to arrive). If I bought something, lets say from a seller in California and I paid for Parcel Post. That takes 2-9 BUSINESS days. If I am sitting here a month later and the item finally arrives, thats a tad extra long in waiting time. If the seller does not communicate any delay in shipping, that calls for a neutral. WHY NOT LEAVE A NEGATIVE, you ask??? You received the item, riiiight? :o) That is why I would leave a neutral and not a negative.
This takes me to another point, bare with me: CHECK THE SELLERS FEEDBACK!!!!
(Simply click on the number next to the sellers name)
Look at their feedback score, the percentage!!!! If a seller has numerous neutral or negative feebacks in the last 30 days...STAY AWAY!!! Read their feedback and why people left bad feedback.
If a seller has less than 100% positive feedback, check why and how long ago they received a negative feedback, it could have been over a new ebayer not knowing how to properly leave feedback even, one of the reason I am writing this here.
Unfortunately only about 4 out of every 10 buyers leave feedback nowadays, so do not be upset if a seller only leaves feedback once they have received feedback from a buyer. It is a common just-practice.
10/2013 Please note: Ebay's push to offer free shipping on all items and charging an extra fee to sellers if they charge shipping has made the ebay market somewhat unstable and less fun for us sellers. I understand that big companies can offer free shipping on many items and sellers offer it a lot on lightweight items. Please do not expect and let it out on the seller via leaving neutral or negative feedback, if a seller charges shipping on dishes that weigh 5# and sell for only $10. Private part time sellers are here to make some money too, so paying for the item and eating all the quadruple ebay/ paypal fees and shipping the item out for free is just simply unreasonable.

How much time to dyou need to improve your eBay Seller Dashboard

You generally have until the next evaluation period (this info is in your Seller Dashboard) to improve your detailed seller ratings (DSRs). If it's almost the end of the month, you should focus on open transactions and do what you can to satisfy your buyers. That should encourage them to leave positive Feedback for you. We evaluate sellers on the 20th of each month. If your percentage of low DSRs improves, but you haven't reached the minimum performance threshold, eBay may reduce or remove your selling limit. Your listings may still have a lower placement in search results, though. This gives you a chance to improve your business and resolve any issues with buyers before you can ramp back up. If your percentage of low DSRs reaches acceptable levels, eBay will remove all the consequences from your account.

Hope this helps! Please rate! Thanks!

Hi. I left neutral feedback for a seller. The seller solved my issue and now I want to change the feedback to positive. How can I do that? Item nr. 400228330958.

Hi,

You can ask the seller to send you a Feedback revision request. Once it's sent you will just need to respond to it and you will have the option to change it to positive but seller's can only do it 5 times a year.

You may also try to send a request to the eBay's Feedback Removal team using the link below
http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_us/_base/result_6_7_1.html
Click the email us

The problem with the link is that eBay will remove the entire Feedback.

Hope this helps.

HI I THINK THIS SELLER MIGHT BE SELLING UNLICENSED COUNTERFEIET GOODS FROM BANPRESTO ON EBAY CHECK OUT THIS ITEM NUMBER ON EBAY .CO.UK 260797515273

Seller has a great reputation as he has 100% positive feedback score. I have checked his history and found that he has never received any negative feedbacks. He only received 8 neutral feedbacks.
This makes me believe that he does not sell counterfeit goods.

I ordered a hello kitty mobile from ebay it was posted 16dec ive not received it i emailed the seller got no reply ive phoned the post office as due to bad weather it was held up in post they cliam it...

Always look at the feedback of the seller. Even if they have high feedback click on the numbers next to their name and see what the last 5 customers said. You will often find that for what ever reason even sellers with literally thousands of feedback just one day goes sour and try to make as much money as possible before closing their doors.

To resolve this now:
1. log in at www.ebay.com
2. Go to my ebay (upper right hand corner)
3. In left tabs find "wWon/Purchased" and click it
4. If you HAVE paid for the product and the $ sign next to the item is filled in then click the drop down arrow next to more options find the option to open a case.
5. from there follow the steps and ebay will try to resolve it.

They will ask you if you want a refund or still want your product. They will try to work with you AND the seller to be fare to both parties. If a solution can't be found and you DID already pay for the product and can prove it then they will close the case in your favor will full refund. Make sure you leave feedback so future buyers know that seller didn't ship product.

Don't be afraid of negative feedback, sellers can only leave neutral and positive feedback, they can NOT leave negative feedback...

Ebay has protections against this. Here is a check list of bonus things you need to do to protect yourself.

*never respond to "ebay" email that doesn't have your user name in it.

*If you get an email asking to update account don't click link in the email, TYPE out ebay.com and go to your inbox THROUGH ebay to verify it is from them, if it wasn't from them then go back to that email and forward it to [email protected]

*only talk to buyers or sellers through ebay, don't email them directly this way all communication is recorded in the even you have to make a claim, or they make a claim. As long as your honest tracking all communication through ebay will only help you.

*check sellers history, a good rule of thumb, if they are less than 10 feedback, or have a lot of CURRENT negative feedback it might be safe to pay that extra dollar to a different ebayer and have confidence you will receive your product.

How is the best way to get started on ebay.?

Hi,

I'm sure you can find some pointers on eBay itself, but I will give my 2 cents for what it's worth.

1) Choose a username and GOOD password when you sign up.

2) Get a PayPal account and get it verified. Paypal is the easiest and most used form of buying and selling.

3) Know your products if you are selling. Give accurate and complete descriptions. Be honest about them too.

4) Ask questions if you are buying and are not sure of something.

5) Use GOOD photos whenver possible. Don't use grainy, low resolution pictures.

6) Give feedback. That is how you are "rated" in the eBay world. If someone only has a Feedback rating of under 90%, I would be cautious. Of course you can view anyones feedback and see comments.

I hope that gives you a start. Happy eBaying.

Thanks for using Fixya.

PS. You can look at my figures if you wish. I use the same username as I use here.
PPS. Please consider rating this solution as this is the way we are rated on Fixya. Thanks!

Hi,

This is Wrong Information. What is the Purpose of Feedback, if you offer it before getting the Stuff. This is Actually a Trick to get Positive Feedback to get Powerful Seller Tag.Once you leave the Feedback, you cannot change it to Negative. However, in case, you left a Negative Feedback, the Seller could send you a Form to negotiate and then you could change it to Positive.

Read :-

http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/changes.html

It clearly states :-

Buyers should wait to leave Feedback for sellers until after they receive the item.

I hope it is clear that, he is trying to Play with words.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have been happy with eBay,but they do not accept negative feedback, some thing is wrong there

It is eBAY policy not to allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers. However, a buyer CAN leave negative feedback for a seller. eBAY seems to favour the needs of buyers rather than sellers.

As a seller, I wold not leave any feedback until the buyer has left theirs. Then if they leave you negative feedback, you can always say something negative in your feedback to them. Even though the feedback cannot be flagged or marked as negative, other people can still read it.
