Question about Sony STR-DE915
My home was struck by lighting. BUT I had all my electronics unplugged including my Sony Receiver (str-k660p). After the storm when I plugged it all back in my receiver no longer powers on at all. I checked the fuse and it still looked good but I replaced it just the same. Still no luck. Is it dead? I still am baffled how it happened since it was completely unplugged.
Did you have any Rca Cables running to a Tv or anything by accident cuz it could run thru those, Lighting is a powerfull substance, if it hit the house then it could of ran into the cable to the tv an went out, thats wierd this is the 1st time ever hearing this, try looking in side to see any burn markings, an take a wiff cuz you can tell if somthings fried by the smell of it, if it is then its most likly dead
