Question about Canon PIXMA iP90 Mobile Printer
I keep getting an error message that reads: "The following ink tank is not installed: Color Ink Tank. Install the ink tank properly and close the printer's cover. If you do not want to install the ink tank, click cancel."
The cartridge is installed properly. While traveling, I removed the ink cartridges for 3 weeks. Once I settled in Mexico, I tried to use the printer and kept getting the error message. I tried cleaning, deep cleaning, print head alignment, and installing new cartridges. I occasionally am able to print a test page, but the ink pattern is not good, even with a new cartridge. I have the exact same problem as posted by Javid on Sept 9 2008
Do you have any solution?
Yeah it sounds like a cartridge sensors are stuck or broken. i would say to replace the whole print unit. It will need a service support dealer to fit this part unless you can buy it and fir it yourself.
part number: QM2-2020-020
hope this helps
