Nothing that I know can corrected the problem.
if you wish, you can start by checking see if you get parts for the TV. I mean all of it. once you located the source, then I would start replace the main source of problem.
I would see the total replacements are more than the new TV cost.
it is your call.
I would just go buy a new one.

When opening the shutter no image comes up on the LCD screen. The date, remaining image details are still showing however. If a picture is taken, it comes up as a light green screen.

sir,
digital cameras have an image sensor called CCD or C-mos if the camera picture is having problems with color this part may be faulty.
the picture previously taken (before this fault happened) must be fair, if it also bad then there may be problem with LCD or the main board.

Samsung 710v problem. It started out as "Not optimum mode" for which i applied the 50/47 ohm fix present around the web. It worked for around a year.

Not optimum mode refers to the resolution. If you set it to 2048x1024 and your monitor won't support that, it will give you this message. Remove the resistor. In Windows Control Panel go to display. Adjust your resolution to your preference in the table. Do NOT exceed the table. You may have fried your monitor with the resistor. Good luck.

LC-40le550u no picture... green light on

if powers on and has no video and no audio could be the main board, but first try this :

take a flashlight, turns on the tv and try to "see" the image while light up the flashlight against the screen , if you "see" something you have a bad back light inverter board.

below the posible parts number :

MAIN BOARD : Sharp 9JY0140CTJ05100
POWER SUPPLY/ BACK LIGHT : Sharp 9JY0940CTJ05000

TRY TO LOOK FOR AT :

or ebay

thanks

Possibly fried screen

This is probable the lcd backlight inverter. If you have sound then look at the screen up close with a flashlight and see if there are images. If you can see images then the back light has problems and it is most likely the inverter.

Everything seems to work but nothing on the screen at all.

hold down the power lead? not quite sure i understand cause what it sounds like you have to do, is a bit of a jimmy rig. Most likely, in replacing the inverter, and this is uncommon but possible, if you are using the wrong inverter you could have possibly fried the screen(unlikely) or fried the display adapter(more likely). How old is the laptop? When you plug in the other monitor are you making sure to toggle between screens using your keyboard. if so and no picture.....video card is dead....and you are most likely out of luck as the cost to fix is more than the cost to replace the computer.

I have an Element 32" flat screen tv model # ELCHW321 that i am trying to use as a computer monitor via vga to vga connection and am not having any luck. The tv says no signal. I have tried a newer laptop...

When you are using a laptop you have to press and hold down the function key and hold down the dual monitor key (either F5 of F8) for about 15 full seconds. The screen of your laptop should darken and the image should come up on the tv screen.

Hello i have a lp690 suddenly the picture dissapeared no ligt in the lamp..It has run 350hours only the power button flashes(green) but no alarm..Should the lamp be changed????

you need to clean and resolder the edge connector on the power supply where it connects to the main board. on this series of prohector, this is a common problem. that and the yellowing of the image due to the frying of the light filter on the blue lcd panel (keep the projector clean and free of dust and you will avoid this, as there are no longer any parts available).
