Re: lines

With so little information to go on I'm not sure that I can give you any meaningful help. Write back with a more detailed description of your problem. White lines could be interference, bad signal or a defect in the circuitry. Give us a more detailed description of the problem and we'll be able to help you better.

I have green vertical squiggles lines over whole screen

possibly the DMD chip goes bad, you can try to disassemble your tv, and take out the DMD chip, when carefully inspect its mirror, whether you found any lines or white pots in it.

if it had lines or white pots, you have to replace it.

Black and white picture with red lines vibrating with sound.

More info would be nice. Are you using HDMI or Component cables. If it is component cables (red, blue, green for video white and red for audio) Check your red and blue connection. Green alone will give you a black and white picture.
If you are using an HDMI cable, replace the cable to see if this changes anything or if you have another tv swap cables to see if problem stays with tv or moves to another tv.

It's a convergence issue. Go into the main TV menu under video settings and look for convergence. If it has an auto convergence select that and wait a minute the TV will adjust itself and give you a clear picture.
If the TV does not have an auto convergence and just regular convergence than select this. It will give you a grid pattern on your TV and you have to move the cursor (using TV remote) and adjust each "point" so that each line is perfectly white. If you notice red or blue anywhere on that "line" then you have to adjust using the up, down, left and right arrow keys to "line up the red and blue lines with the nearest white line. It takes time and patience to do, but when completed, all lines on the grid pattern should be pure white and you will have a great looking picture.
You have to do this will all TV inputs (Video1, Video2 and so on) the reason Zoom looks good, is because you never used that screen as much and so the lenses didn't have a chance to get out of synchronizing.
RP TV's are made of the three lenses (red, Blue and Green) and as you watch TV, these lenses slowly get out of alignment. So you should do a convergence about twice a year to make sure nothing is out of whack.

You can pay somebody to do it, but may cost you like 100.00 or do it yourself, it is very easy just tedious and time consuming. If you have the auto convergence than your golden because this is the easiest way to "reset" the TV.

Hope this will help in solving the problem....

I have horizontal white lines on my television screen.

Good Day;

White lines could indicate that the TV is about to fail, if something in the TV is arcing. YES, the TV can be repaired but call an Authorized Service Center and have come out and give a written estimate.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
