Question about KitchenAid KESC307 Electric Kitchen Range

KITCHENAID KESC307HBS SLIDE IN RANGE

The oven is not heating properly. I have compared the time needed to get the oven to heat to temperature and it is taking 3 times as long as it should (I know someone who has this same oven and we compared heating times). An electrician checked to see if it is drawing the correct amount of power and it is NOT. What would cause the oven to not be drawing the correct amount of power? Is this due to a computer malfunction with the oven? If so, what part and how costly.

Possible bad control, but also might be a bad elemnt ( hidden under the oven floor depending on issue depends on cost of repair, your gonna have to get it looked at , call an authorized company for possible extended part warr's if they still apply , generally 5 yrs on electronic parts and elemnets

The stove doesn't heat up to the preset temperature. When I set it up to bake at 400 degrees, it goes up to 327 and stops heating further. The same occurs when I put it on broil.

If you preset to 450F what does the oven stop at?
Do you have an oven thermometer that you can use to compare against the reading (327F) that the oven gives you?
It appears to me that the oven thinks its hot enough to stop heating. Could be a temperature reading problem, a comparison error, a display error or a calibration error.
Is there another reboot process other than unplugging?
How old is the appliance?

My Frigidaire ele. convection oven only heats up to 287 drgrees

Good Afternoon Mitchel, thank you for your inquiry!

It could mean a few things in why your range is taking a long time to reach desire temperature:

    ·Convection heating element
    ·Thermal cutout
    ·Thermal oven sensor
    ·EOC (electronic oven control)
    ·Ignitor
    ·Bake or broil element
    ·Shorted wired connections

It would be advisable for the above parts to be properly diagnosed by an expert to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best regards!

Frigidaire gallery stove

Hello Debbie - Sounds like the unit has loss some of its heat inside of the oven cavity. This means it cannot reach the proper preheat temperature in the programmed 30 minute timeframe. A technician would be required to further diagnose this concern. They would most likely assess the convection heating element, thermal cutout, thermal oven sensor and all wired connections for repairs. Lastly the oven cavity and insulation should be checked to ensure there are no gaps or damages that will leak out the heat. At t his time, I would recommend contacting a professional to assist you further.

I have a Kenmore Gas Range Model 665.72012102. It has never baked correctly despite that I purchased brand new. The past couple of years the amount of time needed to pre-heat is up to approx. 25 minut

That is a long time to heat up. I would check to make sure both your broil and bake ignitors are working. On some, but not all, both come on to preheat, and then the broil shuts off. Another, and more likely culprit would be the temperature sensor located in the oven itself. Its the silverish metal rod protruding from the back wall inside the oven. It could be bad and not converting heat/elsectrical signal properly causing the main control to regulate the temperature incorrectly.

Kitchen Aid Gas Range.Convection mode fan does not come on.Glow bare works,as well as the gas element.Flame is the proper colour.Could it be the oven sensor?Model nos.ykgst307hw5

Does the oven heat to the proper temperature and hold it there or does it not heat at all? I could not tell from your description of the problem.

GE XL 44 oven will not come up to temperature. Oven lights but will not heat beyond 250 degrees.

Hello,

The most probable reason the oven isnt heating very well is because of a weak igniter, since that igniter is weak its having a hard time fully opening the gas valve so the flame is very small and thusly not producing much heat,by replacing the igniter the gas will flow properly and heat to a high tempature.
