Formating your phone may fix the problem. Heres how you can format your phone

Heres how to hard reset or format your Nokia N70 mobile phone:
1) Switch off your phone
2) Press and hold these 3 keys together:
-green dial key
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key (Ugh, I wish I had three hands…!!)
3) Power on the phone
Warning: Do not release the keys until you see a formatting screen and even after the phone has started. Wait until the initial sound starts to play and the hand animation is displayed.

before formating make sure that you copy all your contacts, messages, calendar, and each and everything in your memory card. And dont forget to remove your memory card and fully charge you phone before formating.

Set comes on but display white, connector opened

Which phone model are you using? If it's a sliding or flip phone, you need to replace either the 'flex display cable' connecting motherboard to the LCD or the LCD itself. Otherwise if its a chocolate bar kind of phone, you need to replace the LCD. Also do a physical visual check and perhaps use a bit of medicinal spirit to clean on the motherboard where the flex or LCD clips on.

The phone is working but the screen is black

Remove battery if possible or power down the device. Replace battery and power on, if you hear the the device working yet there is no visual display it sounds as if the display has gone bad. Check to see if it's still under mfg warranty, they are typically one year warranties.

When I turn phone on it lights up with no picture

This is a possible LCD problem. If you are sure that the phone is still working but you just got no visual or no display, that means the phone is still working and you just need to replace the LCD of the phone, make sure that you are going to bring it to a repairshops and make sure that it will be replaced with a compatible LCD.

My screen is blank but illuminated.

Power down....remove phone battery for 15 minutes then replace and power up again.
If this does not reset then you have a failed visual display screen and need to take the phone to the mobile repair shop in town.
