if you want to block a number calling to u then first you should call on the help line to your service provider because every compny has this facility to block any unknown number. or some cell phone has also this facility...
But in other case to hide your number from recipent follow these steps.....
Consult your phone company's website or white
page directory. Since rules vary from carrier to carrier, it's best to
contact your provider for confirmation of how to block a phone number.
2Use the universal call blocking code, "*67," before placing a
call to prevent your phone number from appearing on a recipient's
caller ID box. This temporary blocking method requires that you dial *67
before every call you want blocked.
3.Order per-line blocking from your provider if you want every
call from a specific phone number blocked. The fee for this varies
according to provider, and only certain states allow it. Check with your
phone company for details. To unblock the line and allow the number to
show on a receiver's caller Id, dial "*82" before calling.
4Be aware that when you block your number from being
displayed, your name and company (if applicable) also remain blank on
the caller's display. Depending on the provider, the recipient's caller
ID remains blank, shows dashes or displays "Caller Unknown" or another
5Learn that you can't prevent the owner of a 1-800 or 1-866
number from seeing your phone number. These companies can determine your
phone number through ANI (Automatic Number Identification), but they
can't distribute that information to other
Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-5 or 6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.
You can find displays for fair price at :

Most phones will only do what you require if the contacts are stored on the phones memory instead of the SIM memory. This will also prevent you from assigning photos to contacts and one touch speed dials (i.e. press and hold a number to dial a stored number) Try copying all your contacts to the phones memory. If you see duplicate names, go into phone book settings and adjust setting for phone just to look at phones memory and this will stop duplicates being shown. hope that helps?
when the screen says inital programing needed or w/e you can still dial. only when that screen is up though. Do not press okay, try to get that screen back, itss not that had, but you can only dial when that screen is up, just dial the number your paper tells you to
Sounds like the LCD is missing a signal getting to it. One of the signal lines is either damaged, possibly still has a small amount of liquid on it and is getting a bunch of resistance it shouldn't be.
Open the phone up, and let it sit and dry fully for a few days.
You could always try dropping it back into the rye & coke, it seemed to prefer that to water =0)
this happens either when u r razr was dropped or have gotten wet...If it fell u need to remove the four screws on the screen and pry the cover off with a possibly thin knife. The flex cable is located at the top left hand side of the screen. you need to take this off and reseat it again.try powering on the phone before u close it back again to ensure that it works. If this doesn't work either your screen or flex cable is gone, then u need to check a phone repair shop.you need either a t6 or a t4 screw driver set to remove the four screws located under the the 4 rubber fillers on the inner screen.
you would just have to replace your screen, this not very expensive and will do the job.
The warranty will probely not cover this because it is not the fault of the proper functioning of the devise.
You can either get it fixed by your service provider with you paying for this or you can go to your local repair service the price for both should range in similar cost .Be care full because if you fix it not by the service provider you might loose the warranty. This depends on the contract policy.
