A shorted speaker, a pinched speaker wire or a short in the amp, itself. Try to disconnect the speaker wire from the amp. Did the clip light go out? No?? Ok take out the amp and send it to the service center as unless your a tech, there are no user serviceable parts inside as its all solid state. Good Luck

Azur 840A Clipping

CLIPPING occurs when the level of sound is way too high.
Try changing the speaker-wires -- you may have a short-circuit someplace in the wires that is causing "feedback".

My amps stays in the clip mode where as the light on the two channel stays red

CLIP: red, to the left of each Gain control.

Normal indication: illuminates whenever the amplifier is driven beyond full power. The LED's brightness indicates the amount of distortion. Distortion that causes only brief flashing may not be audible.

During muting, the indicator fully illuminates. This occurs during normal "On-Off" muting.

Abnormal indication:

•Bright red illumination while the amp is being used indicates either thermal muting or a shorted output.

•If the amplifier overheats, the fan will run at full speed, and operation should resume within one minute. Allow the fan to run, and make sure the amplifier ventilation is adequate.

•A shorted or overloaded output circuit will cause excessive Clip flashing and possible overheating.

•If distortion is audible without a Clip indication, the problem is either before or after the amplifier. Check for damaged speakers or overloaded signal source. The amplifier Gain control should be in the upper half of its range to prevent input overload.

My yahama P3500s Amplifier left channel dead and clipping light stays on both speakers works ok in right channel.

Hi, make sure everything is disconnected, is the clip light still on?
if so then I'm afraid it sounds like the output devices for one channel may have blown, ( not certain, without looking at it i'm afraid ).

If you need more help, then please ask.

Regards - Anthony

Clip light

It sounds like one side of the power amp has shorted. May be hazardous to the speaker so best take it to a shop for repair. If speaker stills sounds OK, probably the clip detector transistors have failed.

The green light stays on but sound comes out like a skipped cd

Check your RCA jacks. Wiggle them around a little, and see if it changes anything.. It could be a bad RCA< or the inputs them self. Could also be caused by over loading the amp. if nothing changes when you wiggle the RCAs then disconnect one of your subs. If disconnect the sub makes it play right then your impedance is to low, and is causing the amp to clip.

NO SOUND

I am also having a similar problem. I am using a classic 1985-87?? reciever. I dont want to give it up however, i blew a fuse after plugging in an input while the unit was turned on. The system light up and that was that. After replacing the required fuse correctly, everything turns back on. No sound output. no indication of sound off the needles either..
