In the translation of the lastposted solution. I think you needed a dimension. I do not know what a"panny" is. So to the specification list on page45 on the manuel

It sounds like it could be a problem with the backlight if your lcd has one. The screen makes the picture but a little light in the back produces the light. Its not a problem with the computer/board or the powersupply because it all still works. If the screen is just blank, it is probably the backlight or the connection of the screen to the board and power. Shouldnt be too expensive to fix...

Hi,

It may be as Jaime867 has proposed, either a back light/inverter issue.

There is possibly a way to verify if the backlight and/or the inverter is faulty. Operate the unit even with no display. On your remote or on the control panel, press on the volume control. With the use of a strong flashlight, pls see if you can see some semblance of the volume level (where it normally shows). You may have to angle the flashlight a bit. If the volume level indicator could be seen (albeit very dark), then you have justm confirmed the fault.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Unfortunately with this type of television you will have to get it repaired. Being it is under a year old you may be covered by a warranty. Call the customer service number in the owners manual and they should replace it for you for free or send you a gift card for the value of the television.

Good luck to you.

Sure..those are usually around 400 bucks, plus shipping of around 125.00 so figure around 525.00 all told, assuming that nothing else is found when it gets to the repair center..no warranty, I assume, right? do you need a connection to a repair center for that unit?

Okay, based on memory (this is my third Panny), I got into my service menu. But where are the h-width and v-width options? All I need is to up the h-width by a bit. This was easy on the last Panny I owned. There has to be a way this can be done, doesn't there?

This type of failure could be related to a back light inverter failure or power supply. If your LCD is less then a year old, i would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fixed under warranty since this might not be a DIY repair.

If you repair yourself still worth it because the back light inverter board and the power supply are one assembly and you can find it by clicking here.

This TV does not have a flyback transformer and you will not feel any hairs standing up when you get close to the screen.

Check the link I've provided on a previous post to see the part you need to fix your LCD.

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Good luck..
