SOURCE: WATER RUNNING OUT FROM UNDER REFRIGERATOR

If the floor of the freezer is full of ice, your defrost water drain tube is clogged. Remove the ice in the freezer bottom, find the top of the drain tube inside the freezer near the top of the ramped up area, about the size of your index finger and blast hot water through it with a turkey baster. About 4 cups of good hot water but not boiling

SOURCE: Whirlpool GD25DF auto defrost drain problem

There is a drain hole in the back of the freezer on the bottom. Get back there with some hot water. Most of the time it is just lime build up. Unless you know what feel back there. Another way is to move the freezer out and from the back side you can see the drain line. It just pulls right off

it may be that your defrost drain hole is blocked at the back. check it out but runnin a flexi band down it. if its the freezer drain hole you will need to do a full defrost to unblock ice.

SOURCE: refrigerator leaking water on floor under it!

The leak is most likely coming from the defrost tray below the evaporator coils. A piece of ice or something is preventing the water from draining to the pan below your refrigerator. Unplug and remove the back panel inside the freezer. Any blockage from that tray will cause the water to pool out into the freezer or fresh food section. Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Water leaking from behind ice chute door & freezes under ice bin

You will have to remove the unit and access the rear of freezer. Check that the filters are not plugged as well as drain.

I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool model 6ED25DQFW side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker/water dispenser. Water was slowly pooling under the refrigerator under the freezer section. The defrost drain pipe was not blocked, the condenser fan was running, the drip pan was not leaking.
The source of the leak was found to be the icemaker solenoid block plastic body which had a pinhole leak.
To fix requires either plastic welding, or replacement of the solenoid block plastic body.
To access the solenoid block firstly requires removal of the cardboard cover, located at the lower rear of the refrigerator.

My refrigerator has water running down from under freezer and there is no water in the drain pan.

Your drain line is clogged from the freezer to the pan. The drain line and drain pan are located behind the back freezer wall panel.

New whirlpool ED2GVEXVD side by side. Water leaks onto floor periodically. Water coming from door is not cold. Also, it is noisy. Any fixes

HI,
Recently, I ran into a wave of broken drain pan for the defrost water. When this occurs, the water leaks out on to the cardboard under the unit, causes the card board to warp and come in contact with the fan motor to cool the compressor. If this is so, you can either replace the pan or seal the pan with tape to prevent it from leaking. I have also notice the water valve is located above the drain pan too, if you have a leak it will over fill the pan causing the same problem. Those are the two easiest places to check first. You can remove the grill from under the doors and use a flashlight to see if water is under unit.
Lastly, is there water on the freezer floor? If so the could be a clogged drain tube in the freezer section.
I hope this points you in the correct direction..

Drain pan filling up. I emptied the pan and about 24 hours later its full again. We have ice and water in the door the freezer is cold just pan filling

If your evaporator fan is working properly the water would evaporate back into your home or business. If the evaporator fan was not working the freezer would not freeze and fresh food would spoil. That is way too much normal condensate unless there is a leak around the door seal or leak in the cool water supply tank storage or filter area. Not knowing the model number I would think you may have a drain opening under the crisper drawer that leads to pan. And think it may be a good idea to turn water supply off until sure of the source. Where is the pan where the water drip into

Hi, well the pan you are referring to is called the "drip pan" pretty clever huh?lol well this is located underneath the unit most commonly under the freezer side towards the back. To find it you can pull the fridge out from the wall and unplug it. Then remove the cover panel for the compressor and sealed system. When you remove this panel you will be able to see the drip pan under the freezer. Im assuming you are needing to find this because it is leaking. That is a very common problem due to the pans being made out of plastic and being exposed to temperature changes will sometime cause it to crack. I hope this helped you in any way. Please give some feedback.

Auto defrost works fine except for water accumlating in the bottom of unit under the bottom trays instead of in the water tray by the compressor. graywolf7499@yahoo.com

There is a leak or damage of the pipe leading from the evaporator downwards. The defrosted water is leaking out of the tubing to the bottom, replace this tubing or check the leak on the collecting tray under the evaporator.

Water leaking on inside - top shelves

The drain for the freezer is clogged. Unplug the frige and let it defrost. Pull the cover from the bottom front and note the drain pan. water should start draining into pan as the freezer defrosts. If Not the drain may be blocked. To access the drain remove icemaker then rear panel of freezer carefully, unplugging fan and ground wire. Look for drain in the middle under the coils. Look on outside back for the drain hose, this will help you locate the drain. Clear the drain of ice using hot water. You will hear it drain down the drain hose to the pan below.
