Question about HP Photosmart C6280 Printer

1 Answer

Scanning I have never been able to scan anything. As soon as I hit the "scan" I get an error message: "HP CUE- Scanning Flow Component has encountered a problem and needs to close." What can I do?

The error message shows up only on my computer screen in XP. No error message shows up on my printer's lcd. When I hit the scan button on the printer, there is a message stating "scanning" on the printers screen, then after a few seconds, that message goes away on the printer's screen and the "HP CUE- Scanning Flow Component has encountered a problem and needs to close." message comes up on my XP computer screen.
    Thank you

It fixed it for awhile, then I have the same problem again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled from HP's website several times. I don't have either Kodak or Photoshop installed. Now as I've spent more time trying to troubleshoot, I see that I cannot scan to my computer because the printer does not see the computer (both are left connected and on).

I hadn't used the scanning part of the computer until recently and the years warrenty is almost up.

"HP cue scanning flow component problem"

Run or double click on the "HPQDSCTC" file in:

C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital Imaging\Bin OR c:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\Bin

This should resolve the issue and if the issue persists then completely uninstall and reinstall the software from HP's website.

Try this. If it does not work, it may be a photo program like Kodak or Adobe Pjotoshop that may be conflicting with the HP software.
Let me if it works or if not, do you have any of these programs installed.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

4355 all-in-one not scanning

Right click on the Wdws Icon in the bottom left hand corner of your computer (same as the start button for other features with a left click)

Click on Explore

Find and click on Program files

Find and click on HP folder or Hewlett Packard Folder

Find and Click on Digital Imaging Folder

Double Click on BIN folder

Find the following file: hpqscnvw

Double click on that file (hpqscnvw)

Your HP scanning feature should open

I am thinking I may just create a shortcut of this and launch from that instead of HP solutions center if HP cannot fix this issue.

Let me know if this works for you.

I did not find a "solution" to the HP CUE - Scanning Flow Component problem. However, I did find a work around the problem. I use my graphics editing program to Import/ Acquire/ From Twain and this will allow me to scan from the printer to my graphics program. I can save the image from there.
