Try using different A/V cords or a different tv. if your hooked up to HDMI then you should just try using a normal A/V tv and see how that goes.

You may need to change your HD settings on the back of the console ( HD setting is actually on cord ) I had that issue when I first went online w/360 . If that does not help u know X box costumer support will repair any damaged system prob. no cost and does'nt take as long as they say.

I get no signal detected on my TV from my Xbox360, even after changing to a new cable and connecting to three different TVs. Is this a common issue?

Sound but no picture

Ya that does seem a little suspicious . You should have defaulted
to stranded video out after it's been off and if the cables are good
then I have to say you more than likely have what's known as
(dead video feed) caused by the G.P.U. disconnect/ broken connection
to the main board . This is normally the cause of a lose of video single
One thing to try goto game stop and buy a multi a/v adapter
they cost 12.00 on one end you'll have the xbox a/v plug and
on the other end use what's called the s-video out plug
it's the small round one . Plug this one in to your set and make
sure your set is on that video input . sometime you
will still receive video feed from this line when other are
dead. If not then what you're left with is having to have the G.P.U.
re-flow back to the P,C. board this fixes dead video 90%
of the time. 60% of boxes are 3 red light 20% are 1 red
and 10% are no video and freezing. 10% failing C.D. roms

Unknown problem in my xbox 360

3 likely possibilities -:

1) The slide switch on the Video Lead plug (plugs into Xbox) is in the wrong place for where its attached to you tv.

2) you consul is set to PAL not NSTC or the other way around.

3) Wrong video refresh rate, should be 50 for PAL Uk 60 NSTC

Have sound no picture and 2 green rings around power button

They are green?!? usualy when people have problems with  the xbox 360 hardware, the lights turn red. This xbox 360 may have a birth defect... Best thing to do is call 1800-4my-xbox. Talk to a representative about sending your xbox in, ONLY if you have not voided the warranty. If so, you will most likely have to buy a new xbox or new motherboard for it.
Also try changing your video settings to tv instead of hd, or hd if it is plugged into a hd tv. You might have toggled the HD switch on the video/audio chords.

XBOX 360 NO PICTURE

if using hd tv then use the cable with the blue lead, if not using hd tv then use the red, white and yellow leads. If using the scart connection to put the leads into make sure that you have it set to the correct av or ext channel

Signal?

Make sure ALL cables are put into the correct recievers, thats all i can tell you.

But don't buy a new 360, send in the 'broken' one and see what Microsoft says about it.

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!
